Birthdays/Unbirthdays
• Send snack for the class with your
child in the morning.
• Please make them individual
portions: no cakes or other items that
need cutting.
• Summer birthday – send in May
• Email reminder to me
Field Trips
• October 28 – Junie B. Jones stage production at
Samford
• November 1 – American Village – Thanksgiving and
early colonial life
• April - In School Planting Day with 3rd graders
• May - Hoover community helpers (library, fire
station, police station, mayor’s office)
SNACK
• Snack Calendar
• Snack choices – individual packs of
crackers, pretzels or goldfish or individual
packs of apple slices or grapes
• Please place fresh fruit in small snack size
ziplock bags
• Other snacks will be sent back home
Parent Conferences
• Held twice a year – October and March
• Review progress and areas of opportunity
Reminders
• P.E. is everyday – wear tennis shoes –
please no crocs, sandals or dress shoes
• The classroom can be cold – jacket/sweater
• Book orders – send check only; one week
window

  • 12. Behavior Expectation • Be Safe – walking feet, hands to self • Be Respectful – listening, kindness, manners • Be Responsible – complete work, follow directions, use time wisely
  • 13. Birthdays/Unbirthdays • Send snack for the class with your child in the morning. • Please make them individual portions: no cakes or other items that need cutting. • Summer birthday – send in May • Email reminder to me
  • 14. Field Trips • October 28 – Junie B. Jones stage production at Samford • November 1 – American Village – Thanksgiving and early colonial life • April - In School Planting Day with 3rd graders • May - Hoover community helpers (library, fire station, police station, mayor’s office)
  • 15. SNACK • Snack Calendar • Snack choices – individual packs of crackers, pretzels or goldfish or individual packs of apple slices or grapes • Please place fresh fruit in small snack size ziplock bags • Other snacks will be sent back home
  • 16. Parent Conferences • Held twice a year – October and March • Review progress and areas of opportunity
