ANNOTATION: This British Museum site offers interactive tours, simulations, and
games on Ancient Greece. Topics include the Acropolis, Athens, Daily Life, Festivals
and Games, Geography, Gods and Goddesses, Knowledge and Learning, Sparta, Time,
War. Students can build a virtual temple, take a virtual tour of Athens, follow an
interactive story about women in Greece, and "set the scene" in a virtual house. An
interactive tour of the Olympics, Greek theatre, and Greek festivals are also topics to
explore. The Geography section features a series of zoomable maps and an interactive
dive of a shipwreck. The "staff room" has worksheets and discussion questions to help
teachers use the site.

accounts and Americans' reactions to news of the D-Day assault. "Letters from the
Front," has first-hand accounts of soldiers' experiences after D-Day.
