The site mailbox can contain emails and documents. The emails are stored in Exchange, the documents are stored in SharePoint. The site mailbox shows up and can be used in both Outlook (but not the Outlook Web App) and SharePoint.Data Loss Prevention (copied from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150527%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx, then edited):Data loss prevention (DLP) is an important issue for enterprise message systems because of the extensive use of email for business critical communication that includes sensitive data. In order to enforce compliance requirements for such data, and manage its use in email, without hindering the productivity of workers, Exchange Online Plan 2 includes DLP features that make managing sensitive data easier than ever before.DLP policies are simple packages that contain sets of conditions, which are made up of rules, actions, and exceptions that message administrators create in the Exchange Administration Center (EAC) and then activate to filter email. You can create a DLP policy, but choose to not activate or enable it. This allows you to test your policies without affecting mail flow. DLP policies can use the full power of existing transport rules. In fact, a number of new types of transport rules have been created in order to accomplish new DLP capability. One important new feature of transport rules is a new approach to classifying sensitive information that can be incorporated into mail flow processing. This new DLP feature performs deep content analysis through keyword matches, dictionary matches, regular expression evaluation, and other content examination to detect content that violates organizational DLP policies. In addition to the customizable DLP policies themselves, you can also inform email senders that they may be about to violate one of your policies—even before they send an offending message. You can accomplish this by configuring Policy Tips. Policy Tips are similar to MailTips, a feature introduced in Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, and can be configured to present a brief note in the Outlook 2013 client that provides information about possible policy violations to a person typing a message. Encryption:Emails and attachments can be encrypted using Rights Management, a new online service.Exchange Online Protection is the successor of Forefront Online Protection for Exchange. It’s an online service that protects customers’ on-premises Exchange servers. Customers who maintain Exchange Enterprise CAL SA may use this service at zero cost.eDiscovery (copied from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp161516(v=office.15)):Electronic discovery, or eDiscovery, is the process of identifying and delivering electronic information that can be used as evidence. SharePoint Server 2013 introduces the eDiscovery Center, a new type of site collection that serves as a portal for managing eDiscovery cases. From this central location you can discover content in the SharePoint farm, in Exchange Server 2013, on file shares, and in other SharePoint farms. You can apply a hold to SharePoint and Exchange content that you discover. The hold ensures that a copy of the content is preserved, while still allowing users to work with their content. When you have identified the specific items that you will have to deliver, you can export them in an industry-standard format.Records management and Compliance (copied http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp161517(v=office.15), then edited):The records management and compliance features in SharePoint Server 2013 provide improved ways to help you protect your business. Compliance features of SharePoint Server 2013 have been extended to sites. You can create and manage retention policies in SharePoint Server 2013, and the policies will apply to SharePoint sites and any Exchange Server 2013 site mailboxes that are associated with the sites. When a project begins, the project owner creates a SharePoint site and an Exchange Server 2013 team mailbox. The project owner selects the appropriate policy template and invites team members to join the project. As the team adds documents to the site, sends email messages, and creates other artifacts such as lists, these items automatically receive the correct retention policies. When the work is completed, the project owner closes the project, which removes the project's folders from the team members' user interface in Outlook 2013. Both options allow the licensed user to install Mobile Office for commercial use on up to 5 devices.

- Office Home & Student 2013 Runtime: the primary user of a device that is licensed for Office Standard 2013 or Office Professional Plus 2013 (even if it’s without SA) may use Office Home & Student 2013 Runtime for commercial use. Customers who obtain a Windows RT device but don’t have Office Standard 2013 or Office Professional Plus 2013 may only use the Runtime version for non-commercial use.Compliance: Windows RMS integration.Archiving: support for Exchange Personal Archiving (requires Exchange Standard plus Enterprise CALs).BI: deep integration with SharePoint using InfoPath.The second PC/Mac install is not allowed with Enterprise Agreements and Enterprise Subscription Agreements. With these agreements, all Qualified Devices must be licensed for Office.

- Key talking points:VisioPremium features are merged into Visio Professional, even though today Premium costs about 80% more than Professional.Visio Premium customers with SA receive Visio Professional. They can renew SA for Visio Professional and will then pay about 72% less.
- Key talking points:Today, Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server is an add-on and is offered free of charge to customers who maintain SA on the Exchange Enterprise CAL or ECAL. With Exchange Server 2013, anti-spam and antivirus are built-in and require active SA for the Exchange Standard CAL or Core CAL.Licensing site mailboxes and Data Loss Prevention is covered on the next slide.Site mailboxes allow users to work together naturally – while compliance is applied behind the scenes. A site mailbox brings Exchange emails and SharePoint documents together. For users, a site mailbox serves as a central filing cabinet, providing a place to file project emails and documents that can be only accessed and edited by site members. When one project member files mail or documents using the site mailbox, any project member can then access the content. - Work Management: comprehensive view on My Site of a user’s tasks across applications (SharePoint and Exchange) and sites, with the ability to also edit and update those tasks.The introduction of Community Sites offers a forum experience to categorize discussions around subject areas, and to connect users who have knowledge or seek knowledge about subject areas. Additionally, the new Community Portal enables a search-driven result page of communities for users to discover and explore from a link on their My Sites.
- Lync for external users will be complimentary with version 2013, so Lync External Connectors will no longer be available.Skype: customers can extend their reach by connecting Lync users with Skype users. Lync-to-Skype federation opens a new communications door for enterprises searching for inventive and differentiated opportunities for new customer acquisition, customer retention, and business-to-consumer communications.Multi-view video: the video gallery simultaneously displays up to five different participants’ videos, identifies the active speaker, and associates names with faces. HD photos represent all additional meeting participants.Lync Web App: Both PC and Mac users can now join a Lync Meeting from a browser and enjoy the rich Lync Meeting experience, including multiparty HD video, voice over IP (VoIP), instant messaging, and desktop, application, and PowerPoint sharing.Lync Mobile: Lync Mobile enables communication with anyone, no matter where you are. Send an IM, make a Lync call, or even join a Lync Meeting with just one touch—from a Windows Phone, or an iOS or Android device. Stay productive on the go with voice and video over IP, PowerPoint sharing, and more collaboration capabilities.
