Weiner (1986) provides a list of liberal-feminist strategies aimed at changing , sex discrimination act , equal pay attitudes of teachers and children. They include reviewing aspects of school organization such as the timetable, analyzing curriculum materials for stereotyping, persuading girls not to drop science and technology subjects, establishing teacher working parties on the issues. There has also been increasing interest in 'assertiveness training' for women teachers wishing promotion. Another strategy is providing teachers in training and those on inservice courses with ideas for combating sexism.
