father who is
an ad film music
composer and an
unsuccessful

hand,
Vanessa is
shown
extremely
desperate to
have a baby
and is
worried that
Juno might
develop cold
feet and she
would never
get to be a
mother

9. She bravely bears
the coldness of
schoolmates when
she continues to
attend school
while pregnant.
Her various
descriptions of her
physical and
mental state are
very funny

10. Michael Cera’s
character is a
tongue in cheek
remark. He is a
mint-munching
mamma’s boy and
school athlete
aptly described
by Juno’s father
“Never thought
the guy was
capable of this.”

11. Teen pregnancy issue has been handled
with sensitivity but is nowhere
forbearing or taxing. As a viewer I
never felt anything but protectiveness
for Juno and in the least bit sorry.
