Resource required to troubleshoot the Oracle Transparent Gateway implementation and globalization of
database and application environment, including: Review & analyze existing environment including
Oracle Database, Oracle Transparent Gateway configuration, existing Oracle National Language (NLS),
settings, database character sets, the Solaris operating system environment, client applications, and
iSeries based systems. Review issues & incorporate assessment for UTF-8 character set into the existing
environment. . Provide assistance w/troubleshooting Oracle Database Gateway for Distributed
Relational Database Architecture (DRDA) product and its interface with a 65535 Coded Character Set
Identifier database (CCSID) on the iSeries platform.
d. Assist w/troubleshoot NLS settings at the database, operating system, gateway, and application
layers of your environment. Provide add'l recommendations & troubleshooting assistance regarding
overall strategy for Oracle Database Gateway and NLS implementation.
