Ethics Of Packaging Essay
Ethical Food Labeling and Packaging After seeing the ad on television or in the weekly grocer flyer,
seeing the actual labeling on a product is what consumers have to make informed choices. What
started out to be another form of advertising and last attempt to sell a product, food packaging and
labeling has been regulated through the FDA and FD amp;C to require certain information. It was
declared to be the policy of the Congress to assist consumers and manufacturers in reaching these
goals in the marketing of consumer goods (Regulatory). Beyond giving the name of the food, net
quantity of contents, name and address of manufacturer, statement of ingredients and nutrition
information, a product can still be misleading beyond the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Customers are increasingly seeking to purchase products from companies that are taking care of our
environment (Carbonfree). The Federal Trade Commission regulates environmental marketing claims
so consumers can be reasonably confident that any promises apply to most of the packaging or
contents of the product and not to minor, incidental components (Margaret). Excessive paper or
wrapping and the harms caused by non biodegradable materials have become a hot topic and
companies have realized the public is equally concerned about the ethics of packaging. Not only
having safe and effective packaging equipment qualifies companies as being ethical, but the processes
and working conditions of employees are under the microscope as well. As an example, a company
that produces sugar can have the claim of being Carbon Free . For many consumers, this sounds good
and well intentioned, however the claim is not directly for the product but instead meant for how the
product was manufactured. Without statements tying the two together the general public will continue
to be misled or misinformed. The claim of packaging made out of recycled material when only a small
percentage of the container was indeed recycled is a continuation of product misrepresentation and
manufacturers point to shoplifting as an explanation for packing items in difficult to open containers
(Margaret). Margaret points out that even this issue leads to

Mohammad s Creation Of A Trans Tribal State
Mohammad s creation of a trans tribal state occurred during his population of Medina. After he was
persecuted in Mecca, Mohammad sought refuge in Medina. After successfully gaining protection from
its tribes Mohammad sought to make Medina a better place. Mohammad immediately planted crops,
created employment, found water alternatives, and created a town center. After surpassing necessities
Mohammad moved on to his ultimate goal a unified, religious state. Mohammad sought to make
Medina a monotheistic state in contrast to the rampant paganism. Those who lived in Medina and did
not agree with Mohammad s ideals were either kicked out or ended up converting. Mohammad
created an environment in which different tribes could live while following ... Show more content on

The aim of the Constitution was to unify, this meant that non natives and immigrants would be
considered equal in the eyes of the law. The term, believer, frequently used in the document was not
exclusive to Muslims, the articles clarify that a protected believer could be from a different faith so
long as they agree to the terms of the Constitution. It is important to note that some Muslim countries
today would actually be in violation of the Constitution seeing as they do believe in a hierarchical
social and legal system. The ideal state sought to eradicate Pagan practices from the land by bringing
in other nations for a stronger monotheistic presence. Articles 29 40of the Constitution deal with the
specifications for Jewish tribes, including protection and status. At first glance the extensive amount
of articles seems unnecessary, but Khan points out that each article is specified to show the Jews
equality in the eyes of Muhammad. Each article specified a different Jewish tribe, this showed
Muhammad s acknowledgement of each unique tribe while also stating their equality in his eyes; each
tribe s article is identical therefore no tribe is considered loftier than another. Article 28 states that all
disagreements which cannot be settled between people will be answered by Allah and Muhammad.
Although other minorities agreed to live in peace with and declared loyalty to

There are many theories on what happened to Amelia Earhart but which ones are true? Nobody really

Emirau Island, off Papua New Guinea, seems an unlikely place to find Earhart because it s far from
the spot where her last radio transmissions occurred. Still, a U.S. Navy crew member in World War II
told of being sent to the island and spotting a photo of Earhart tacked up in the hut of a local man. The
photo showed Earhart standing with a Japanese military officer, a missionary and a young boy. The
sailor alerted naval intelligence officers, who allegedly took the photo from the hut against the owner s
wishes. The photo has never been found. Since Emirau Island had been a haven for Europeans
stranded after a shipwreck in 1940, it s likely the photo contained a lookalike and not the real Amelia

Anthropological, Risk Society and Governmentality Approaches. Introduction The three foremost
approaches related to the idea of risk in the 21st century and today s society are the Anthropological
approach, the Risk Society approach, and the Governmentality approach. These three contrasting
theories are different in the sociological research they have undertaken, their structure and their main
focuses. However, all three have a forefront theorist that has produced evidentiary support and a set of
sub theories of how different people view risk and different types of risk. When analysing an event,

The four co ordinated attacks hit the transport system at the morning rush hour. The first three bombs
went off around 8.50am on the underground trains just outside Liverpool Street and Edgware Road
stations, and on another travelling between King s Cross and Russell Square. The final explosion was
approximately an hour later on a double decker bus in Tavistock Square (BBC News, 2005). The
chaos that ensued in the capital echoed the terrorist attacks suffered by New York only four years
before, on 11 September 2001. The worst bombing in London since WWII, it brought the city s public
transport to a standstill and in the immediate aftermath of the bombings, victims on the tube used fire
extinguishers to break down train doors. Passengers on one of the underground trains who were able
to walk, felt their way in the darkness down the length of the tunnel back to ground level. The three
separate incidents initially were blamed on train collisions, electrical failures and power cuts,
however, the following day the Metropolitan Police stated that it could not be ruled out that the attacks
were the result of suicide bombings . The bombers were later confirmed to be 30 year old Mohammad

Nozick s Version Of Libertarianism
Nozick s version of libertarianism says that what is controlled in society should be limited to what are
the essentials to keep society together. A majority of the services and basics that people require to live
can be provided by the private sector and not by the state that lead to unjust in the distribution of
goods and services. The services that should be left to the government according to Nozick s belief are
those of security such as the police and military and the enforcement of common laws. These services
are the basic essentials to what society needs to function with the most liberty being passed on to the
people. The private sector which consist of the majority of the population will be the determining
factor in deciding how services should be best executed to fit their needs and desires. In terms of
distribution Nozick believes that redistribution is unjust for the reason that it is forced labor on the
working people who in most cases do not consent to the redistribution of their wealth. Nozick states in
his view on Libertarianism that People have the right to Liberty which in this case people should have
the liberty to choose how their earnings are distributed. Furthermore, according to Nozick,
Libertarianism should reject the redistribution of personal wealth. This statement is focus more of the
earnings of people. Having a state that has an uncontrolled power over the distribution of one s wealth
can result in a structure that allows others to benefit off

end of course exam with a 92% to become a 5 level as an Aircraft Structural Maintainer. However,

material. I also questioned if you received the proper training. Unlike the average completion dates I
ve seen in the past, you completed your 5 level tasks in roughly 16 months versus the norm of 8 10

chemicals with the right personal protective equipment is crucial to the safety of the personnel in your
section. Based on your team role as an executor, I think you would soar in this additional duty because
of your ability to follow specific regulations and your high standards. You ve always been quick to say
No when members wanted you to do a task that wasn t justified by technical data. I foresee you having
zero issues ensuring the chemicals that are used continuously are labelled correctly and cleaned before

seems like every few weeks the shop acquires a Quality Assurance (QA) fail for improper storage of

Essay The Boys Versus Corporate
1. Describe the culture for race car drives. Race car drivers of course accept a lot of risk when they
compete in a race, and believe that in order to succeed they must take risks. Some risks include
crashes with other vehicles and possible loss of life, either from crashing their cars into into the other
vehicles, inanimate objects, or other people, as with the death of Kevin Ward Jr. (Daft / People.com)
At the same time, race car drivers receive an adrenaline rush from racing. They receive this rush from
the super fast speeds, and pushing themselves and their cars to the edge. (Daft)

4. How can the NASCAR organization, team, and sponsors work through issues of ethics and values
to create a unified culture? Often those who aren t at the front lines don t understand the issues being
faced. The corporation must first understand the safety concerns the drivers face, and validate those
concerns as legitimate. That would go a very long way to helping the drivers feel better about the
corporation. Next, the corporation should scale back its qualifying all cars against the clock decision.
While exciting for the fans, the same action can be felt with fewer cars. The corporation should also
find a way to work with the drivers so they know they are more than just assets to the company; they
are actual people and are risking their lives for the corporation s profit. I think once the relationship is
mended between the corporation and the drivers, many of the other issues will fix themselves.

Pathos In Advertising
In a day, the average American sees thousands of ads, the world is covered in them. Be it on TV, in the
daily newspaper or on the shopping cart one picks up at the grocery store, exposure to these ads is
inescapable. Most are these ads are harmless, wanting only to catch the attention of potential
customers and invest them in their product. The companies make use use of pathos ( for example the
Budweiser commercials with the puppy and horse), logos (the Geico 15 minutes could save you 15%
or more... ), or ethos (Jamie Fox using his iPhone 6s in Apple s latest ads) to sell their product. Some
companies, however, employ extreme tactics to stand out. They create ads that target human s natural
inclination to use sex and violence. More often ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Within the advertisement they broadcast systemically reenforced and exaggerated a large number of
stereotypes about both men and women. Some may wonder, however, how this really effects everyday
life. If someone sees so many ads in a day what is one more, one that is just a bit more sexist than the
typical beer ad. While this it is true that the average person is overstimulated by the number of ads as
it is there is still something to be said for the content of the ads. Even if a person doesn t mentally
acknowledge them the brain still notes them and stores them in the brain. If time after time one sees
women in the submissive role or treated as objects, chances are they will start subconsciously
believing it. On the other hand if men are constantly portrayed as stupid and hormone driven then that
bias will start to seep into reality. There are also significant moral issues with this ad, if time after time
women are portrayed simply as a visual feast it changes how they will be treated for the rest of their
lives. Next time they walk down the street theres a chance a man may catcall her, acknowledging the
fact that she was in some way appealing to him. He doesn t do this because she is smart, funny or kind
he does this simply because he was pleased by her appearance and may even think he is
complementing her. However, by doing this he reenforces what the media has

The Global Branding of Stella Artois Essay
The Global Branding of Stella Artois*
Synopsis
Interbrew had developed into the world s fourth largest brewer by acquiring and managing a large
portfolio of national and regional beer brands in markets around the world. More recently, senior
management had decided to develop one of their premium beers, Stella Artois, as a global brand. This
case examines the early stages of Interbrew s global branding strategy and tactics, enabling students to
consider these concepts in the context of a fragmented but consolidating industry.

The Letter From A Birmingham Jail
As an African American growing up in a multi generational household I appreciated the stories my
grandparents told me about the Civil Rights Movement through their eyes. They acknowledged that
Martin Luther King was not just for people of color; but all human beings who were being treated
unjustly. He is known for many speeches, but The Letter from a Birmingham Jail written in 1963 was
phenomenal in my opinion; this letter, written in response to A Call for Unity, (Carpenter et. el, 1963 )
an article written by eight, white, Alabama clergymen, was to serve as a response to those who
believed that King acted inappropriately for coming to Birmingham, Alabama, as an outsider, for
creating immense tension with his demonstrations, and for the inopportune timing of his marches.
Even though, the clergymen agreed that social injustice did exist, it was their opinion that these types
of matter should be handled in the judicial system rather than in the streets. It astonishes me how an
individual can be so articulate and use various references to state his case. Furthermore, when he does
give the reader reference; whether it s religious base or past history from different era; he uses the
material to correlate with his current predicament. This is an era were no internet was available. While
I was reading the letter I kept wondering if he was a social worker in his pass life because he truly
displays the six principles of the National Association of Social Work (NASW, 2008 p. 2)

Alan Turing s Accomplishments
In history, numerous innocent people died due to atrocities. World War II is an historical event that can
be considered as one of the most awful, deplorable, and destructive. Soldiers, mothers, fathers, adults,
and children died. World War II resulted in the deaths of approximately 60 million people (Dan).
Many nations, and groups mobilized together in order to fight back against the Nazis, including the
scientific community. When United Kingdom declared war on Germany, Alan Turing and his team
worked together to break the code of the Enigma machine and thus have access to the German military

the keyboard for inputting letters, the scrambler unit for encrypting the letters and the lamp board for
displaying the enciphered letters (Lendl). In order to break the Enigma Machine, the code breakers
had to find the daily settings that the German used and understand them. However, it is important to
know that Polish cryptographers already broke the Enigma machine in 1932 as Marian Rejewski
reconstructed a replica of the Enigma i.e. Bomba machine. However, Turing used Rejewski s ideas
and improved the bombe machine so that the machine could go through all the possible combinations
of the Enigma rapidly (Lendl). The polish Bomba inspired Alan Turing for the construction of his own
Bombe machine. The Bombe machine was crucial for the breaking of Enigma s signals. This machine
is not considered as a computer and does not perform calculation, but was designed to carry out a
systematic search to determine the following components of an Enigma key: the rotor order, the rotor
core starting positions , and some of the steckers (Carter). Due to the work of the Bletchley Park
codebreakers, the United Kingdom had access to the German communications and could predict
future naval attacks, this allowed the prevention of several

Essay On Roman Domus

A Roman Domus was an ancient Roman house. It was usually owned by wealthy Roman families, and
contained a countless number of rooms and wings. The average Roman Domus contained a
Vestibulum, Taberna, Atrium, Tablinum, Trinclinium, Peristylium, Exedra and several alae and
cubiculums. However, the Domus was not just a place where wealthy families lived. It was also a
place of business and religious ceremonies. Roman Domuses were usually built so that that they did
not face the street. In fact, they often had walls separating them from the street and nearby Domuses.
Now, I will proceed to describe the many rooms of the Roman Domus.
First, the Domus contained several entrance halls. One entrance hall was the Vestibulum. The ... Show

The Peristylium was an open courtyard or garden in the center of the Domus. This courtyard contained
flowers, shrubs, fountains, fish, and pools of water, benches, and sculptures. There was a portico,
which surrounded the courtyard. The inner walls of this portico were highly decorated with paintings
and art. Sometimes, the Perystilium also contained a lararium a shrine for the household gods.
The seventh room of the Roman Domus was the Exedra. The Exedra was located right next to the
Peristylium, and was a formal dining room. It was used for lavish dinner parties and events. Often, the
Exedra was decorated with a garden or nature theme. For example, one might find an Exedra
decorated with mosaics of nature god or goddess.
The next room of the Domus is the Culina. The Culina was the kitchen. Located in a small corner of
the house, it was usually dark and poorly ventilated. This was because since the slaves did all of the
cooking, their masters were indifferent as to whether or not the environment where their slaves
worked was hot, small or stuffy. The Romans cooked their food using ovens, the top of which were
used to keep meals warm before they were

Negative Effects Of Video Games
Video games are surrounded by controversy on how they affect the health of those who play them.
Some say that video games do nothing but rot the player s brain. Others say that video games can do
the opposite and sharpen some of the player s senses. Video games can have many positive effects on
the human brain and body. Video games can Improve coordination, improve problem solving skills,
enhances memory, improve attention and concentration, are a great source of learning, improve the
brain s speed, enhances multitasking skills, and improves social skills. One of the many positive
effects of playing video games is that they help improve the player s coordination. When a someone
plays video games they don t just start blankly at a screen like watching TV. Most video games are full
of quick time events, audio cues, and visual cues that the player has to be ready for. If the player fails
to notice these events and cues or reacts too slow they risk losing the level or making the level harder.
Eventually the player will get used to quick time events and the different cues and will be able to
quickly input the correct buttons, this will lead them to improving their reaction time. The
improvement of reaction time will ultimately improve coordination. Games like Shenmue and God of
War are both good examples for games with quick time events. Shenmue was released in 1999, and
was the first game to incorporate quick time events. Not only was Shenmue was the first to

Company Uses For Reward Employees For Performance
Introduction Compensation refers to a wide array of benefits and pay that a company uses to reward
employees for performance. Strategic compensation refers to any type of compensation strategy that is
aimed at rewarding good performance. Because the variety of companies and their internal structure
varies wildly, compensation strategies can vary wildly. For example, many direct sales companies
where employees are actually independent contractors use strategic compensation strategies, giving
prizes for hitting certain sales goals and increasing compensation percentages with sales. On the other
end of the spectrum, large corporations almost always include stock options in higher level
compensation strategies, which directly ties the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, it is important to keep in mind that what works in the United States may differ from
what works in other countries. While there is a largely global business environment, the regulations,
rules, and business norms that govern U.S. corporate structure may make some types of strategic
compensation more critical in the United States. For example, in most industrialized nations, the
availability of universal healthcare means that health insurance as part of an overall compensation
structure is not that important. Furthermore, different rules regarding maternity leave, family and
medical leave, and retirement savings can all make international models inapplicable to an American
setting without making some significant alterations to those strategies.
Knowledge Management Capacity Of course, strategic compensation does not exist in isolation in any
business environment. Instead, strategic compensation packages and idea are often indicative of a
greater attitude towards recognizing and rewarding employee innovation. As a result, it should come
as no surprise that companies that practice strategic human resources practices are more likely to have
greater knowledge management capacity (Chen Huang, 2009). Knowledge management capacity is
positively related to innovation performance (Chen Huang, 2009). Therefore, it is critical to examine
an entire corporate culture when looking at the relationship between employee performance and
strategic compensation

Evolution Vs. Creationism Essay
Evolution vs. Creationism
Abstract
In the history of science vs. religion there have been no issues more intensely debated than evolution
vs. creationism. The issue is passionately debated since the majority of evidence is in favor of
evolution, but the creation point of view can never be proved wrong because of religious belief.
Human creation breaks down into three simple beliefs; creation theory, naturalistic evolution theory,
and theistic evolution theory. The complexities of all three sides create a dilemma for what theory to
support among all people, religious and non religious.
Evolution vs. Creationism
The theories of human evolution may always cause a heated dispute. Each theory presents its own
evidence proving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Until science proves its naturalistic theory correct, the world will have to choose between the three
theories based on personal beliefs, religious values, and scientific information.
The creation theory includes over 500 different creation stories based on numerous religions
(Religious Tolerance, 2004). The vast number of stories creates strains on which evolution story is
accurate. Christians that are creationists take the bible literally and believe the earth is around 10,000
years old. The creation theory will always exist with religion, so the creation theory can never be
proved wrong since it is simply a religious belief. Religion is still very important in the United States,
and the acceptance of the naturalization theory would completely change Christianity all together.
Religious Tolerance, a website that outlays the conflict of evolution vs. creationism, explains how
naturalism would shake Christianity. Religious tolerance states that the acceptance of evolution would
make people interpret Genesis symbolically and classify evolution stories as myths. Since the creation
stories are closely tied to the fall of man and to original sin, the entire role of Jesus would change.
Without original sin, there would be no need for a savior, and Christianity would change drastically.
This further proves that the creation theory will live as long as religion. The Gallup Organization
studies what percentages of Americans believe in each of

My Escape From Reality
The gravity between us and and reality is crucial to understand. Life has waves of experiences that
people often times don t dream of swimming in, making us drown in emotions, that sometimes, we
don t think of surviving. I now understanding the saying of escape from reality . I found my way to
escape life.
On July 19 of 2016 I was sent to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to have a surgery done that
has took nine years to plan. The surgery was designed to expand the mandible bone, straighten it, and
support it with six screws. As I was taken to my surgical room I saw my parents being taken back the
pediatric unit to settle into my temporary home. The feeling of not having my parents by my side
scared me more than what I was getting prepared for. After all my blood tests and shots I was sent to
the surgical room, I remember walking into the room and seeing 20 people preparing for me. While I
was being helped on to the bed, someone was placing my compression socks and the intermittent
pneumatic compression devices on my legs. Once I got adjusted into the bed they placed a white
blanket, intraoperative blanket, and the heated blanket, even though it was only three blankets it felt as
if it was crushing me. My nurse held my hand as I started drifting off into sleep. After a five hour long
surgery and an hour of sleep, My mom was sent back into the recovery room. Having the feeling of
my mother hold my hand brought me comfort in which my nurse cannot. I woke up with 6

The Effect Of Calcium On The Contribution Of Calcium...
This research utilized calcium channel blockers to measure the contribution of calcium uptake in
relation to the vesicular glutamate released into the extracellular space. After the calcium channels
were blocked glutamate was applied directly to the extracellular space and the animals ability to
remove the glutamate was measured. The results showed that animals with traumatic brain injuries
had significantly higher levels of extracellular glutamate evidenced by a nearly 80% increase when
compared to the healthy mice (Hinzman et. Al., 2012). This showed that calcium mediated neuronal
glutamate release may contribute to the cytotoxicity experienced by patients affected by traumatic
brain injury. The second part of the study examined the importance of excitatory amino acid
transporters in patients suffering from traumatic brain injury. To accomplish this, researchers applied
an EAAT blocker to both injured and normal rats to measure their ability to remove extracellular
glutamate. The data suggested that mice subjected to a traumatic brain injury had a more significant
increase in extracellular glutamate after the EAAT blocker was applied. Additionally, mice in the
traumatic brain injury required a significantly longer time for the extracellular glutamate to return to
pre study levels (Hinzman et. Al., 2012). As such, it seems that the major mechanism responsible for
the cytotoxic levels of extracellular glutamate in traumatic brain injury is directly related to a

Essay On Red Hunting Hat In Catcher In The Rye
Sporting a plaid, red deer hunting hat, he would consistently pull the bill of the hat around to the back
due to he insisted he looked better. The flaps would always stay down to cover his ears and would
constantly be questioned why he was wearing a deer hunting hat when he was not hunting deer.
Holden Caulfield, main character of J.D. Salinger s The Catcher in the Rye, regularly dons a red deer
hunting hat for the majority of the novel. The Catcher in the Rye is a coming of age novel showing
how the main character spends his days between moving out of his private school and returning home
to his parents in New York in his hunting hat. Caulfield must manage the constant changing of
schools, underage drinking, and not following the crowd, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another standard Caulfield must abide by: the current drinking laws. Caulfield is an avid drinker at
clubs and bars, nevertheless, waiters constantly do not serve him due to his age. While in his hotel bar,
The Lavender Room, Caulfield attempts ordering a drink, I ordered a Scotch and soda, and told him
not mix I said it fast as hell, because if you ham and haw, they think you re under twenty one and won
t sell you any intoxicating liquor. I had trouble with him anyway... (90 91). Ordering a drink fast and
not look like anything is wrong is the approach Caulfield takes when soliciting a drink from the bar;
the waiter is no use though for he will not serve Caulfield without verification. A separate occasion of
Caulfield acquiring alcoholic refreshments is at Ernie s, a popular night club. At the same time of
being seated, Caulfield orders a drink, certain he will not be carded, I ordered a Scotch and soda,
which is my favorite drink, next to frozen Daiquiris. If you were only around six years old, you could
get liquor at Ernie s, the place was so dark and all, and besides, nobody cared how old you were (111).
When showing up to Ernie s, Caulfield knows he will receive alcohol as a result of the waiters do not
verify your age.

Why Hockey Is The Best Sport
And the Pittsburgh Penguins are on the powerplay with just over a minute left. Crosby has the puck,
oh, fakes the shot, waits and passes to Kessel. Kessel with an across ice pass to Malkin. Slapshot by
Malkin... HE SCORES! Beating Holtby s right pad, now the Penguins are ahead 3 2 with 8 seconds
left. Those types of games are very exciting, and they only happen in the world of hockey. Hockey is
the amazing sport that is played on ice with pucks, sticks, and the toughest players. It is basically
impossible to not love hockey, because, well, it is the best sport in the world. Keep reading to find out
the reason why hockey is the best sport ever! We all know the players are what make up the team
(literally), but the hockey players are the toughest of the tough. They are skilled and also smart in what
plays they make, and what can benefit their team the most. Not only that, but when there is something
that they don t like, they trust their instinct and just fight. Unlike other sports where injuries are faked,
hockey players don t complain and rarely get an injury during a fight. They might sustain a black eye

The goalies are backbone of the team, they are what keeps the team and game together. They have cat
like reflexes, bouncing back and doing their best to keep them in the game. Without the goalie, the
team would not be the team that they are. For example, the amazing Vegas Golden Knights (who
recently advanced the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season!), have Marc Andre Fleury, one of
the best goalies in the NHL. Without Fleury, the Golden Knights would have never made it to the
Finals even if they have some of the league s best players. I think that part of the reason that Fleury is
league s best goalie is because he was on the Pittsburgh Penguins for almost 14 years (my favorite

Matt Dehart s Whistle On The Government
In 2008 Matt DeHart was considered an honorable man and an excellent member of the National
Guard. However, by 2014 the United States and Canadian governments had driven him to attempt
suicide twice (Humphreys). The events that happened in those six years speak to a major problem and
ongoing historical situation, namely is the treatment, or rather mistreatment, of whistleblowers. People
who blow the whistle on the government, such as Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, and Matt DeHart,
could be considered patriots for exposing villains in our own government. However, the government s
response is to attempt to kill them, to torture them, and to do everything in its power to make their
lives miserable. I wish to illustrate this issue in modern day ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Assange s depiction is meant to illustrate what, as most believe, whistleblowers should be treated like;
exiled yet alive. This status is what Snowden is attempting to flee to in both real life and in the
painting. This side will be very well lit and use a lot of bright colors. Another main focus of my
painting is the noose that still hangs around the necks of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. These
nooses, cut from the gallows, but still hanging around the necks of Snowden and Assange symbolize
what the United States, as symbolized by Uncle Sam, would have done with them had they not
escaped the its grasp. As with real life these exiles carry around these nooses mentally and do think of

Ariana Grande s Dangerous Woman
The boldest statement off Ariana Grande s Dangerous Woman comes not from Ariri, but from Nicki
Minaj: I m the queen of rap, young Ariana run pop . While Nicki s status as the head woman of
modern rap is pretty solid, it does tell a lot about Ariana Grande s ambitions for her third album. Many
ex teen pop idols tried to break their image through shock tactics in the past (see; Britney Spears,
Christina Aguilera and Miley Cyrus). Meanwhile, Ariana s evolution has been more subtle since
leaving the Nickelodeon powerhouse. 2014 s My Everything made a point to make her look like a
serious, grown up artist and if Dangerous Woman is her attempt at becoming a sex symbol, it is done
in a very classy way.
Ariana s lyrics do touch on some slightly risqué ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sometimes recalls Stargate circa 2007 with its acoustic guitar loop mixed with hip hop beats. Trap
elements aside, Let Me Love You could pass as a Destiny s Child b side. Most of those suits seem to
fit well on Ariana, though with 15 tracks, many of these experiments end up pretty forgettable. It s
hard to find songs in here that have the same instant appeal as Problem or Break Free, if it s not for
Into You. Produced by top 40 hero Max Martin, Into You leaves aside the horns and trades them for a
full bucket of synths and electronic rhythms. It also features a Mariah Carey reference in the chorus (
A little less conversation/A little more touch my body ); the kind of self conscious wink pop music
offers too rarely. The result is far better than the slightly awkward attempts of Bad Decisions or the
over opulent Greedy and its corny key change. Other songs like Be Alright feel like it s trying to be a
banger but ends up a little empty. It s a shame, because on an album that often seems to be playing it a
bit safe, these more audacious attempts could ve greatly improve the overall quality of it.
At the end of the day, Dangerous Woman might not have what it takes to make Ariana the Queen of
pop once and for all. But tracks like Into You, Everyday or Leave Me Lonely makes it seem like she
might have what it takes to stay in the long run. If she keeps releasing great songs like this one at a
regular pace, she will have enough munitions to become a mainstay of pop music for years to come,
even if she can t keep the pace on an entire

The Right To Jerusalem Essay
The Rights to Jerusalem
The rights to Jerusalem have been heavily debated for centuries. It is the cause of much animosity
between the three major monotheistic religions. Since the beginning, the Christians, Muslims and
Jews have all claimed that Jerusalem belongs to them due to their religious texts. According to the
Bible, Jerusalem is where Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross and crucified for his crimes, blasphemy
against Judaism and for treason against Rome. Jerusalem and the area surrounding it are heavily
embedded in Christianity and Judaism. Jerusalem is sacred to the Jews because the First Temple, at the
site known as the Temple Mount today, was built by King Solomon, and Mount Moriah is where
Abraham almost sacrificed his son and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the New Testament books of Luke and Acts, the accounts of the life of Jesus Christ are told from
his youth and adolescence to his adulthood and death. Jesus was brought to Jerusalem, in his youth
and adolescence, to be presented to God in the Temple, and to partake with his family in the Festival
of the Passover. In his adulthood, he traveled to Jerusalem to preach to the poor, heal the sick and
protect the people within the walls that surrounded Jerusalem. It is also the location of Jesus Last
Supper, his arrest in Gethsemane, his trial, his crucifixion at Golgotha, his burial, his resurrection and
ascension to heaven. With the significance of Jerusalem being very high in the eyes of the Christian
faith, there was very little doubt that there would be a battle to maintain or regain control of
Jerusalem. Nine of the main conflicts, to preserve Jerusalem for the Christian faith, are known
throughout history as the Crusades. During each crusade the theme was the same; recover the lands
that were taken by people who were believed to be the enemies of God. The Crusades were fought to
restore all holy lands and the lands that were once controlled by Christians back to their rightful
owners .
In the years just prior to the first crusade, a large amount of land was taken by the Saracens (Muslims)
from the Christian people living in the

Definition Of Social Rules In Jane Austen s Pride And...
The novel Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, is set in a world with very strict social rules. In her
essay Austen s Blush, Mary Ann O Farrell analyzes the breaking of these rules, or incivility, in the
novel. She refers to public incivility as exposure, where the character s inappropriate actions are
visible by many people. She uses mortification and embarrassment interchangeably as the
uncomfortable feelings experienced by socially aware characters when social rules are broken, and
divides these feelings into two parts, the buildup as transgressions are being made and the release
when the situation is escaped or resolved. Blushing is the physical act that reflects these feelings of
mortification and embarrassment, one of the few socially acceptable actions that reveal a person s true
feelings. O Farrell disagrees with George Henry Lewis criticism that Austen misses [...] many of the
subtle connections between physical and mental organization (O Farrell 127), instead arguing that
Austen uses physical changes to indicate her characters mental states, in particular using blushes as
natural and involuntary signals of embarrassment, vexation, anger, or love (O Farrell 128). O Farrell
argues in her aptly titled Austen s Blush that that the incivility of embarrassment, which blushing
indicates, in Pride and Prejudice, is necessary for the progression of the plot, the connections between
the characters, and the experience of the reader. O Farrell identifies

  • 2. Ethics Of Packaging Essay Ethical Food Labeling and Packaging After seeing the ad on television or in the weekly grocer flyer, seeing the actual labeling on a product is what consumers have to make informed choices. What started out to be another form of advertising and last attempt to sell a product, food packaging and labeling has been regulated through the FDA and FD amp;C to require certain information. It was declared to be the policy of the Congress to assist consumers and manufacturers in reaching these goals in the marketing of consumer goods (Regulatory). Beyond giving the name of the food, net quantity of contents, name and address of manufacturer, statement of ingredients and nutrition information, a product can still be misleading beyond the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Customers are increasingly seeking to purchase products from companies that are taking care of our environment (Carbonfree). The Federal Trade Commission regulates environmental marketing claims so consumers can be reasonably confident that any promises apply to most of the packaging or contents of the product and not to minor, incidental components (Margaret). Excessive paper or wrapping and the harms caused by non biodegradable materials have become a hot topic and companies have realized the public is equally concerned about the ethics of packaging. Not only having safe and effective packaging equipment qualifies companies as being ethical, but the processes and working conditions of employees are under the microscope as well. As an example, a company that produces sugar can have the claim of being Carbon Free . For many consumers, this sounds good and well intentioned, however the claim is not directly for the product but instead meant for how the product was manufactured. Without statements tying the two together the general public will continue to be misled or misinformed. The claim of packaging made out of recycled material when only a small percentage of the container was indeed recycled is a continuation of product misrepresentation and manufacturers point to shoplifting as an explanation for packing items in difficult to open containers (Margaret). Margaret points out that even this issue leads to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Mohammad s Creation Of A Trans Tribal State Mohammad s creation of a trans tribal state occurred during his population of Medina. After he was persecuted in Mecca, Mohammad sought refuge in Medina. After successfully gaining protection from its tribes Mohammad sought to make Medina a better place. Mohammad immediately planted crops, created employment, found water alternatives, and created a town center. After surpassing necessities Mohammad moved on to his ultimate goal a unified, religious state. Mohammad sought to make Medina a monotheistic state in contrast to the rampant paganism. Those who lived in Medina and did not agree with Mohammad s ideals were either kicked out or ended up converting. The aim of the Constitution was to unify, this meant that non natives and immigrants would be considered equal in the eyes of the law. The term, believer, frequently used in the document was not exclusive to Muslims, the articles clarify that a protected believer could be from a different faith so long as they agree to the terms of the Constitution. It is important to note that some Muslim countries today would actually be in violation of the Constitution seeing as they do believe in a hierarchical social and legal system. The ideal state sought to eradicate Pagan practices from the land by bringing in other nations for a stronger monotheistic presence. Articles 29 40of the Constitution deal with the specifications for Jewish tribes, including protection and status. At first glance the extensive amount of articles seems unnecessary, but Khan points out that each article is specified to show the Jews equality in the eyes of Muhammad. Each article specified a different Jewish tribe, this showed Muhammad s acknowledgement of each unique tribe while also stating their equality in his eyes; each tribe s article is identical therefore no tribe is considered loftier than another. Article 28 states that all disagreements which cannot be settled between people will be answered by Allah and Muhammad. The photo showed Earhart standing with a Japanese military officer, a missionary and a young boy. The sailor alerted naval intelligence officers, who allegedly took the photo from the hut against the owner s wishes. The photo has never been found. The final explosion was approximately an hour later on a double decker bus in Tavistock Square (BBC News, 2005). The chaos that ensued in the capital echoed the terrorist attacks suffered by New York only four years before, on 11 September 2001. The worst bombing in London since WWII, it brought the city s public transport to a standstill and in the immediate aftermath of the bombings, victims on the tube used fire extinguishers to break down train doors. Passengers on one of the underground trains who were able to walk, felt their way in the darkness down the length of the tunnel back to ground level. A majority of the services and basics that people require to live can be provided by the private sector and not by the state that lead to unjust in the distribution of goods and services. The services that should be left to the government according to Nozick s belief are those of security such as the police and military and the enforcement of common laws. These services are the basic essentials to what society needs to function with the most liberty being passed on to the people. The private sector which consist of the majority of the population will be the determining factor in deciding how services should be best executed to fit their needs and desires. In terms of distribution Nozick believes that redistribution is unjust for the reason that it is forced labor on the working people who in most cases do not consent to the redistribution of their wealth. Nozick states in his view on Libertarianism that People have the right to Liberty which in this case people should have the liberty to choose how their earnings are distributed. Unlike the average completion dates I ve seen in the past, you completed your 5 level tasks in roughly 16 months versus the norm of 8 10 months. On the contrary, my perception of how you affected the team dynamic in the shop was that of an executor. Based on your team role as an executor, I think you would soar in this additional duty because of your ability to follow specific regulations and your high standards. • 10. Essay The Boys Versus Corporate 1. Describe the culture for race car drives. Race car drivers of course accept a lot of risk when they compete in a race, and believe that in order to succeed they must take risks. Some risks include crashes with other vehicles and possible loss of life, either from crashing their cars into into the other vehicles, inanimate objects, or other people, as with the death of Kevin Ward Jr. (Daft / People.com) At the same time, race car drivers receive an adrenaline rush from racing. They receive this rush from the super fast speeds, and pushing themselves and their cars to the edge. (Daft) 2. How does NASCAR show social responsibility? How can the NASCAR organization, team, and sponsors work through issues of ethics and values to create a unified culture? Often those who aren t at the front lines don t understand the issues being faced. The corporation must first understand the safety concerns the drivers face, and validate those concerns as legitimate. That would go a very long way to helping the drivers feel better about the corporation. Next, the corporation should scale back its qualifying all cars against the clock decision. While exciting for the fans, the same action can be felt with fewer cars. The corporation should also find a way to work with the drivers so they know they are more than just assets to the company; they are actual people and are risking their lives for the corporation s profit. I think once the relationship is mended between the corporation and the drivers, many of the other issues will fix themselves. ( Bibliography ( Daft, Richard L. • 11. Pathos In Advertising In a day, the average American sees thousands of ads, the world is covered in them. Be it on TV, in the daily newspaper or on the shopping cart one picks up at the grocery store, exposure to these ads is inescapable. Most are these ads are harmless, wanting only to catch the attention of potential customers and invest them in their product. The companies make use use of pathos ( for example the Budweiser commercials with the puppy and horse), logos (the Geico 15 minutes could save you 15% or more... ), or ethos (Jamie Fox using his iPhone 6s in Apple s latest ads) to sell their product. Some may wonder, however, how this really effects everyday life. If someone sees so many ads in a day what is one more, one that is just a bit more sexist than the typical beer ad. While this it is true that the average person is overstimulated by the number of ads as it is there is still something to be said for the content of the ads. Even if a person doesn t mentally acknowledge them the brain still notes them and stores them in the brain. If time after time one sees women in the submissive role or treated as objects, chances are they will start subconsciously believing it. On the other hand if men are constantly portrayed as stupid and hormone driven then that bias will start to seep into reality. There are also significant moral issues with this ad, if time after time women are portrayed simply as a visual feast it changes how they will be treated for the rest of their lives. Next time they walk down the street theres a chance a man may catcall her, acknowledging the fact that she was in some way appealing to him. He doesn t do this because she is smart, funny or kind he does this simply because he was pleased by her appearance and may even think he is complementing her. The Letter From A Birmingham Jail As an African American growing up in a multi generational household I appreciated the stories my grandparents told me about the Civil Rights Movement through their eyes. They acknowledged that Martin Luther King was not just for people of color; but all human beings who were being treated unjustly. He is known for many speeches, but The Letter from a Birmingham Jail written in 1963 was phenomenal in my opinion; this letter, written in response to A Call for Unity, (Carpenter et. el, 1963 ) an article written by eight, white, Alabama clergymen, was to serve as a response to those who believed that King acted inappropriately for coming to Birmingham, Alabama, as an outsider, for creating immense tension with his demonstrations, and for the inopportune timing of his marches. Even though, the clergymen agreed that social injustice did exist, it was their opinion that these types of matter should be handled in the judicial system rather than in the streets. It astonishes me how an individual can be so articulate and use various references to state his case. Furthermore, when he does give the reader reference; whether it s religious base or past history from different era; he uses the material to correlate with his current predicament. This is an era were no internet was available. However, Turing used Rejewski s ideas and improved the bombe machine so that the machine could go through all the possible combinations of the Enigma rapidly (Lendl). The polish Bomba inspired Alan Turing for the construction of his own Bombe machine. The Bombe machine was crucial for the breaking of Enigma s signals. This machine is not considered as a computer and does not perform calculation, but was designed to carry out a systematic search to determine the following components of an Enigma key: the rotor order, the rotor core starting positions , and some of the steckers (Carter). While there is a largely global business environment, the regulations, rules, and business norms that govern U.S. corporate structure may make some types of strategic compensation more critical in the United States. For example, in most industrialized nations, the availability of universal healthcare means that health insurance as part of an overall compensation structure is not that important. Furthermore, different rules regarding maternity leave, family and medical leave, and retirement savings can all make international models inapplicable to an American setting without making some significant alterations to those strategies. Knowledge Management Capacity Of course, strategic compensation does not exist in isolation in any business environment. Human creation breaks down into three simple beliefs; creation theory, naturalistic evolution theory, and theistic evolution theory. The creation theory includes over 500 different creation stories based on numerous religions (Religious Tolerance, 2004). The vast number of stories creates strains on which evolution story is accurate. Christians that are creationists take the bible literally and believe the earth is around 10,000 years old. The creation theory will always exist with religion, so the creation theory can never be proved wrong since it is simply a religious belief. Religion is still very important in the United States, and the acceptance of the naturalization theory would completely change Christianity all together. Religious Tolerance, a website that outlays the conflict of evolution vs. creationism, explains how naturalism would shake Christianity. Religious tolerance states that the acceptance of evolution would make people interpret Genesis symbolically and classify evolution stories as myths. Since the creation stories are closely tied to the fall of man and to original sin, the entire role of Jesus would change. Without original sin, there would be no need for a savior, and Christianity would change drastically. This further proves that the creation theory will live as long as religion. • 25. The Effect Of Calcium On The Contribution Of Calcium... This research utilized calcium channel blockers to measure the contribution of calcium uptake in relation to the vesicular glutamate released into the extracellular space. After the calcium channels were blocked glutamate was applied directly to the extracellular space and the animals ability to remove the glutamate was measured. The results showed that animals with traumatic brain injuries had significantly higher levels of extracellular glutamate evidenced by a nearly 80% increase when compared to the healthy mice (Hinzman et. Al., 2012). This showed that calcium mediated neuronal glutamate release may contribute to the cytotoxicity experienced by patients affected by traumatic brain injury. The second part of the study examined the importance of excitatory amino acid transporters in patients suffering from traumatic brain injury. To accomplish this, researchers applied an EAAT blocker to both injured and normal rats to measure their ability to remove extracellular glutamate. The data suggested that mice subjected to a traumatic brain injury had a more significant increase in extracellular glutamate after the EAAT blocker was applied. Additionally, mice in the traumatic brain injury required a significantly longer time for the extracellular glutamate to return to pre study levels (Hinzman et. Al., 2012). As such, it seems that the major mechanism responsible for the cytotoxic levels of extracellular glutamate in traumatic brain injury is directly related to a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The benefit of higher carrier mobility is greater for operation in the linear regime (Vgs = 0.8 V and Vds = 50 mV): SSR FinFET provides for 6.7% and 6% improvement ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Definition Of Social Rules In Jane Austen s Pride And... The novel Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, is set in a world with very strict social rules. In her essay Austen s Blush, Mary Ann O Farrell analyzes the breaking of these rules, or incivility, in the novel. She refers to public incivility as exposure, where the character s inappropriate actions are visible by many people. She uses mortification and embarrassment interchangeably as the uncomfortable feelings experienced by socially aware characters when social rules are broken, and divides these feelings into two parts, the buildup as transgressions are being made and the release when the situation is escaped or resolved. Blushing is the physical act that reflects these feelings of mortification and embarrassment, one of the few socially acceptable actions that reveal a person s true feelings. O Farrell disagrees with George Henry Lewis criticism that Austen misses [...] many of the subtle connections between physical and mental organization (O Farrell 127), instead arguing that Austen uses physical changes to indicate her characters mental states, in particular using blushes as natural and involuntary signals of embarrassment, vexation, anger, or love (O Farrell 128). O Farrell argues in her aptly titled Austen s Blush that that the incivility of embarrassment, which blushing indicates, in Pride and Prejudice, is necessary for the progression of the plot, the connections between the characters, and the experience of the reader. O Farrell identifies ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
