What Makes Fake And What Types Of Products, There Are...
introduction/Background
Before proceeding to the discussion of this topic, it is necessary to determine the order, what is
fake and what types of products, there are fakes. There are four kinds of falsification of class
luxury goods:
fake products replicas of the original products, produced with the aim to give them the originals,
thereby deliberately misleading consumers; pirated products demonstrative cheap copies of original
products, the production of which is not hiding the fact of forgery; products simulation the goods
are not identical to the original product, but like them its content, name, design, appearance or
(consumers tend to be aware that these products are not original); products of handicraft production
design replicas of branded products without the brand logo and made by masters who work on the
brand or produce similar quality and design of products.
If we carefully get a grasp of these definitions, it is clear that the luxury goods sector have to face
all four kinds of copy, though in varying degrees of intensity. So, the first of these types of
counterfeit products one hundred percent fake is implemented on various markets the people who
present themselves as official representatives of luxury brands. These products are sold
everywhere, they offer housewives of San Francisco, you can see them on the street stalls in the
vicinity of Oxford Street in London full of them on Canal Street in Manhattan, and in various hot
spots of Hong Kong,

Essay on The Cause of the Economic Boom in the 1920 s
The Cause of the Economic Boom in the 1920 s
By the end of the First World War America was regarded as the most powerful and richest country
in the world. In the 1920Вґs the United States economy was booming. This was a period of
prosperity, when the country s economy was doing well and some of the people were sharing in it.
A long term cause of the American boom in the 1920Вґs was America s natural advantage and
regional diversity. The South was mainly used for farming but also had large amounts of oil. The
North of America and the East Coast were the richest parts of America because there was lots of
industry, business and many new factories were being built providing new jobs. This large area of ...

America was only able to do all these things as the country was rich and full of resources.
America did not suffer any damages in the war (apart from loss of military lives) whereas it s
business rivals such as Britain suffered hugely. There was a huge rise in production at this time.
There were many important short term causes as well as the obvious long term cause and
turning point that contributed to the boom. One short term reason for the boom was the policy
of the Republican Party. From 1920 to 1932 all the US presidents were Republican. Republicans
believed that the government should interfere as little as possible in the everyday lives of the
people. When the Republicans came to power they introduced tariffs, this made it expensive to
buy foreign goods. The tariffs protected US businesses from competition. The Republicans kept
taxation as low because of this everybody had more money and they would buy American goods
(because they were cheaper) or invest it in the American economy. The Republican attitude was to
interfere as little as possible in business and let people handle it the way they saw fit, the result of
this was a richer and happier America for about 60% of the people.
Another short term reason for the boom was the emergence of new industries in America.
Americans loved new products such as the automobile, by 1929 millions of people owned cars. A

The Importance Of America s Unalienable Rights In The...
Government has the capability to alter the United States to meet their standards. They change the
United States in several ways, but what they cannot change and take full control over are
Americans unalienable rights. Unalienable rights have also been known as God given rights,
which means that they cannot be given or taken away by the government. In The Declaration of
Independence by Thomas Jefferson, he takes John Locke s theory of live, liberty, and the pursuit
of happiness to express how unalienable rights gives Americans the chance to live their lives
freely. Americans live their lives however they want to. They have the ability to expresses
themselves, because unalienable rights gives them that opportunity as long as ...they do not
interfere with the liberty of others (The Declaration 2). People take advantage of this freedom and
express themselves through the choices they make. America s young adults take advantage how
they live to show people another way living. They choose to dress in different styles, and they may
alter their bodies by getting piercing and tattoos to represents themselves. On the other hand other

They voiced themselves by slowly expanding their group of protesters to actively [protest] the war

Assessment of Products and Services of Starbucks Coffee
CHAPTER I The Problem and the Review of Related Literature A coffeehouse, coffee shop or
cafГ© (French/Spanish/ Portuguese: cafГ©; Italian: cafГ©) shares some of the characteristics of
a bar and some of the characteristics of a restaurant, but it is different from a cafeteria. As the
name suggests, coffeehouses focus on providing coffee and tea as well as light snacks. Food
choices range from pastries and muffins to soups and sandwiches. From a cultural standpoint,
coffeehouses largely serve as centers of social interaction: that provides social members with a
place to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass time, whether individually or in
small groups. The coffee shop industry was starting to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The trick is to broaden appeal without stretching operations too thin. More chain operators will
probably aim for a middle ground between the in and out coffee bar and the full fledged coffee
house. The type of food that the beverage retailers plan to add to their offerings is the key to
these distinctions. The cafГ© is a place where someone can have a cup of coffee while reading
newspaper, or talk to a friend, and then get on with it (Restaurant Business vol. 96, 1996). Metro
Manila is currently being swept by a coffee drinking epidemic, and yuppies and young people are
filling coffee places that have introduced previously unknown coffee blends from all over the
world. According to Norman Koplas in his book A Cup of Coffee, more than a third of the
world s people drink coffee today, and that probably includes us, although we are not on the radar
screen as an important coffee producer despite the fact that many of us swear by the barako from
Batangas. The following account is derived from the book of Koplas, who has written about food
in the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. By the 16th century, coffee drinking
was widespread in the Arab world. Coffeehouses became more popular than mosques, leading to
their closure in Mecca, Cairo and Constantinople. Coffeehouses came to Europe in the 17th century.
In 1650, coffeehouses first opened in

Case Study Onychotillomania
Onychotillomania is an obsessive compulsive disorder marked by the picking at or pulling out of
one s fingernails or toenails. There are many people who struggle with this condition, some
extreme while others experience very mild forms. In the more extreme forms people completely
rip out their fingernails and toenails from their fingers and toes. The more mild cases are people
picking either at the nailitself or the skin surrounding the nail. Onychotillomania falls in the same
categories of other picking disorders such as trichotillomania and dermatillomania. A case study
conducted by Snorrason and Woods (2014), looked at an adult male with a chronic and severe nail
picking habit treated with acceptance enhanced behavior therapy. The client... Show more content

control group or the HR group. During the pretreatment phase of the study, participants were
asked to self monitoring their skin picking. Each participant was given seven cards, on these cards
they were asked to record a tally mark each time the targeted behavior occurred. At the end of the
day, the participants we asked to call in the total number of skin picking occurrences for that given
day. About one week after the pretreatment assessment of the frequency of skin picking, the
participants in the HR group returned for one 1 hour treatment session followed by two separate 30
min follow up sessions over the next 3 weeks. Following the treatment, those in the HR had
significantly fewer instances of skin and nail picking, although at the three month follow up, many
of the participants had relapsed, but one participant reported that she had completely ceased her nail
and skin picking and had not relapsed. The study concluded that HR is effective while the treatment
is occurring although after the end relapse is common. That being said, the study only conducted a
four week treatment, potentially a longer treatment period would provide different

The Legend Of Dante s Aeneid
According to the legend, Rome was founded by two brothers, and also known as demi gods,
Romulus and Remus. The legend claims that, they had a disagreement over who would rule the
city and where the city would be located. Romulus killed Remus and named the city after
himself. This story of the founding of Rome is the most known but it is not the only one. Other
legends claimed that the city was named after a woman, Roma, who traveled with Aeneas and
the other fighters from Troy after that city had fallen. Upon arrival on the banks of the Tiber
River, Roma and the other women opposed when the men wanted to move on. She ended up
leading the women in the burning of the Trojan ships and so efficiently deserted the Trojan
survivors at the site that would eventually become Rome. Aeneas of Troy is featured in this legend
and also in Virgil s Aeneid, as a founder of Rome and the ancestor of Romulus and Remus, this
then linking Rome with the greatness and power which was once Troy. The Roman empirewas a
very complex civilization that had managed to spread to various places of the ancient world.
Noticeably, The entity had an underlying impact on religion since during this era Christianity rose
to prominence all around the world. The civilization contributed significantly to the development of
literature with notable figures, such as Cicero writing creative works of literature. During this

Leonardo Da Vinci And The Last Supper
Matthew Greiner
Artist Project
8/2/15
Leonardo Da Vinci is most famous for the Mona Lisa and his countless inventions. He was many
things, an inventor, an artist and a scientist. Here, we are going to mostly talk about his artist
side(Although, personally i would rather write about his inventor side) His two most commonly
known paintings were Mona Lisa and The Last Supper . Two wonderful pieces of art by an
amazing artist. he was born on April 15 1452 in Vinci, Italy, died May 2 1519. He heavily
influenced the renaissance era and is still influencing us today.
At an early age, Leonardo da Vinci moved to Florence, where he apprenticed with the painter and
sculptor Verrochio. Da Vinci s brilliance was obvious even at this early stage in his life. He often
experimented with different artistic forms and techniques. Being surrounded by Italian art, he
often used oils in his paintings . His work sparked a new style of art in Italy. In 1481, at the age
of 30, da Vinci moved to Milan to work for the Duke of Milan. Although relatively few of da
Vinci s paintings and sculptures survive, two of his extant works are among the world s most
well known and admired paintings. The first is da Vinci s The Last Supper, painted during his
time in Milan, from about 1495 to 1498. A oil mural on plaster, The Last Supper was created for
the city s Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Also known as The Cenacle, this work measures
about 15 by 29 feet and is the artist s only surviving

The Triumph Of The Eastern Orthodoxy In 726 AD
The triumph of the Eastern Orthodoxy In 726 AD, there was a massive eruption by the Santorini
Volcano. The Agean Sea was filled with tsunamis, ash, and volcanic rock that caused the sea to
boil. It was the largest eruption Europe had seen in over 2000 years. Right now you re probably
wondering how this has anything to do with the subject at hand. This is the story of how an
eruption sparked one of the biggest debates in the history of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
The eruption of Santorini and the invading Muslims caused the emperor to change Christian
history. Emperor Leo III of Constantinople saw this eruption as a sign that God was angry with
the empire. Leo was confused by this and wondered why God was angry with him while He
continued to allow the Muslims to invade Christian territories. The emperor had a theory that since
the Muslims were iconoclastic, which means they were against the images of religious figures
such as a painting of Jesus. Leo thought that since the Muslims weren t using images, God had
been favoring them since the Christian church did use images. So Leo had the image of Jesus, that

excommunicated him. The emperor sent fleet against Rome but it sank. Emperor Leo, incensed
against the Pope, would not send aid to defend Europe (in fact, he had enough threats closer to
home that he probably could not, but now he would not). Estranged from the imperial might of
Constantinople, Pope Gregory had to call upon Charles Martel, the Frankish king, to fight back the

Mars Hypothesis
PROBLEM What would be the best, easiest, and cheapest way to get enough water to healthily
sustain a Mars colony of one hundred people for one year? A second question is, Is there a way to
reduce the amount of water used by each human on a daily basis?
HYPOTHESIS
My hypothesis is that the easiest, cheapest, and most sustainable source of water on Mars will be
filtration of urine. Scientists have already proved that this will work in space on the International
Space Station. A second hypothesis is that the amount of water needed by humans on mars can be
cut in half by making some simple changes.
PROCEDURE
To begin my experiment I will research information of several ways that you could potentially get
water on Mars. I will look at filtration systems, binding of hydrogen and oxygen molecules and
melting of ice that is said to be located on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also for any filter to be useable it has to be able to withstand the trip to mars and the landing on
mars.
Another method worth exploring is the binding of hydrogen and oxygen molecules. If this works it
could potentially be more sustainable and cheaper that the alternative. For this to work it will need
to be proven on earth before going to mars. It also will need to be made a more simple process.
Additionally it will need to be safe to do within a building. The oxygen and hydrogen would also
need to be able to be sent in a pressurized form. Finally for this to work they would need a safe
and efficient way to transport it to mars. Another way to get water from mars would be the
melting of ice said to be located on the poles of mars. To make this work they would need to
know for certain that there is ice on mars. They would also need to know how to melt the ice
without starting a fire. Also they would need a way to separate the water from the dirt it is said to
be mixed with. Additionally they would need to find a way to collect the amount of dirt it would

In the first place, that the members are entitled to hold a registered company to its registered
objects has been recognized long since. Hence whenever an ultra vires act has been or is about to
be undertaken, any member of the company can get an injunction to restrain it from proceeding
with it. In this case the House of Lords observed that the doctrine of ultra vires, as it was explained
in the Ashbury s case, should be maintained. But it ought to be reasonably and not unreasonably
understood and applied and that whatever may fairly be regarded as incidental to the objects
authorized ought not to be held ultra vires, unless it is expressly prohibited.
Accordingly in London County Council V Attorney General , the council having statutory power to

Life of Workers in Staithes Essay
Close by the giant textile mill row on row on row of drab terrace houses huddle together as if to
fend off the bitter cold of a winter night in December of 1811. Night obscures the narrow streets
of the industrial village of Holmeside as morning s hesitant light pokes through the canopy of
dismal clouds. Inside the mill, workers have been toiling for hours. They rose from their beds
early and put on their work clothing. The lucky ones ate a crust of bread and drank the remains
of yesterday s milk before stepping out into the chilly darkness to make their way to the mill.

All that is human is troubled by their failure to benefit except by Death s summons. The portal of
the grave is their only means of escape.
Some said the disadvantages of the poor were their own making. Many believed that the
working poor were not fully human, but a bestial and inferior species, unlike themselves,
specifically supplied by Providence as servants through whose labour they ran profitable
enterprises. The poor were seen as a raw material in the same class as wool and cotton. They were
cheap to employ and easy to replace. Those that looked down on workers failed to see that working
conditions in textile mills were why workers were afflicted with conditions for which no treatment
existed.
These early morning people move in procession through the streets, uniting with others at street
junctions to form broader streams, merging with other streams as they neared the mill to form a
grand current of humanity closing on the massive iron gates of the mill that were symbols of
imprisonment. Once inside the gates, workers fanned out to go to various work stations to work as
machine minders in the manufactory. This was the common condition of men, women, and
children in the hard textile country of Yorkshire s West Riding. The characters of Yorkshire folk
were forged in the crucibles of harsh terrain and exacting industrial environments.

Business Planning is how an organization plans including goals. At Dental Associates they have

The Middle Schoolers

for a bus from the middle school to finish dropping us off. I sat huddled in the torn green back

games the middle schoolers played at recess. It s called FMK. Fuck, Marry, Kill. You have to
choose which person you would fuck, marry, or kill. Some of the boys giggled but some stayed
quiet, not understanding what he meant. The older boy, Josh, relished in the moment, thinking
it funny that he knew so much more than us and giddy to be the one to corrupt our young
minds. He said, Okay I ll give an example so you understand. Gerard you have to choose, FMK
Johnny, Kevin, or Veronica. You d have to choose to fuck Veronica and marry and kill Kevin or
Johnny because you can t fuck a boy if you re a boy. Moms and dads fuck, it s how they make

The Pros And Cons Of Downsizing
For the purpose of the research, we would narrow down our discussion on one of the elements of
the employee relations, which is downsizing. Downsizing, also known as restructuring and
rightsizing, is the planned elimination of jobs in an organization. It is essentially the reverse of a
company growing and suggests a one time change in the organization and the number of people
employed. (R.Wayne Mondy, Robert M.Noe, Shane R. Premeaux, Judy Bandy Mondy) So,
typically, downsizing will shrink both the organization and the number of people in the
organization. Downsizing does not always turn a company around. This is because downsizing does
not solve the fundamental causes of problems. (R.Wayne Mondy, Robert M.Noe, Shane R.
Premeaux, Judy Bandy Mondy) For instance, some organizations have not developed an appropriate
strategy for growth. They only focus on reducing costs, but not solving the problem that leads to the
downsizing decision. Besides, when one firm downsizes, others in the same industry must also
follow as they are competitive to each other. (R.Wayne Mondy, Robert M.Noe, Shane R. Premeaux,
Judy Bandy Mondy) Therefore, more and more individuals will become unemployed and the

(The Three Component Model of Commitment, n.d.)This type of commitment occurs when the
employees feel a sense of obligation to their organizations, even if they are unhappy in their roles
or want to pursue better job opportunities. However, when an organization is having the approach
of downsizing, the employees may see the organization as having behaved unjustly or unfairly and
will feel less secure even if they have a strong sense of obligation to stay. This is because they may
lose the belief that their contribution to the business will be rewarded in the future. So, downsizing
will lead to a negative impact on the organizational commitment of the

When working with uses of statistical information there is as few topics individuals and

statistics used in the workplace. Plus how is data at each of the four levels of measurement used in

organizations use different statistics and one of them are descriptive statistics this is used to
describe the data of basic features in a study. This describes what is going on in the data and is
used to present quantitative descriptions in a manageable from (M.K. William, 2006). For
example take college students and there is two ways this can happen, take college students and
go by the year they are in college, listing the number or percent of males and females. Then the
raw scores are grouped into categories according to ranges of values. For example the GPA
according to the letter grade range or group income into four or five ranges of income values (M.K.

organizations are trying to reach conclusions that extend beyond the immediate data alone (M.K.

Emergency Plan Essay
8.Outline of emergency plans
The UK has two separate plans regarding influenza; the first is their pandemic plan; the second is
their annual influenza plan for seasonal influenza. The focus of each plan is broadly similar, and it
is to mitigate the impact of any influenza outbreak, epidemic or pandemic by: adequate surveillance
and detection of cases; prevention of infection using vaccination; treatment of high risk cases with
antivirals; and non pharmaceutical control of transmission by recommending hand and respiratory
hygiene, self isolation and limited use of face masks for health and social care workers. The
differences in the plans lie mainly with vaccination and the scope of the plans regarding control of

pandemic plans extend to recommendations for all business and public sectors, including
essential services such as water/sewage, energy, education, food supplies and transport. They
also extend to the media as they have a role in disseminating information, and to
recommendations for Ministry of Defence (MOD) involvement to provide assistance if civil

The Essentials Of Water Purification
The Essentials of Water Purification
The Essentials of Water Purification From Academic Journals

casualties caused by unsanitary water will significantly drop. The purpose of this document is to
inform the reader about the essentials of water purification; it is organized by the trend of the topic,
typically by the types of processes. According to the UN, more than 2.5 billion people

population that is dying off because of this problem. By purifying the water and making potable
water, this problem will soon cease to exist. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The third article I researched took a different approach on water purification. Rather than making
giant desalination plants to make clean water, this article talked about how we can chemically
treat individual bottles of water easily to get rid of bacteria with iodine or chlorine tablets.
However, this method of purification is extremely inefficient for many reasons. You cannot
mask the taste of iodine or chlorine. Furthermore, no type of chemical will be able to get rid of
organic matter, so if the water is from a pond or lake, you will need to carry around a filter to get
rid of it. Even though this process is good for people who need clean water on the go and
instantaneously, it is not a reliable way to get rid of the world problem of unsanitary water. The
next article takes a similar approach about water purification since it targets individual small
bodies of water. An ultraviolet lamp eliminates all types of bacteria and dirt, ensuring clean and
pure water. The only problem with this is that it leaves only distilled water, which is water that is
drained of all its minerals; this makes distilled water not suitable for drinking. In a water
purification system designed by Labconco makes the water go through three stages of purification.
First, it goes through a prefilter that removes anything bigger than 5 micrometers. Then a carbon

Evolution Of Reincarnation Research Paper
We live in a world where we live and we die, or do we? What if we came back to this Earth but in a
different form? This is where the ideology of Reincarnation comes in. This has been a topic of
controversy for decades and still is today. The idea that we come back to this Earth in a new form
came from Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism religions. Moreover, this dates back to
many ancient cultures, such as the Greeks believing in the rebirth of Pythagoras, Socrates, and
Plato. Even today there are many scientist who believe that reincarnation, more specifically, Dr. Ian

Fairy Tales Stereotypes
According to Disney, and other fairy tales, there are only three things that a woman can be; a
pretty, love motivated dancing girl , a femme fatale that knows of the power her sexuality can
have on those around her and is trying to use this power for control, and a pear shaped
grandmother all knowing and just trying to help a poor dancing girl find the prince of her
wildest dreams. Throughout fairy tales and movies there is constant examples of these three
women and only these three models of women. This poses a problem for growing girls as maybe
they do not fit one of these archetypes, and feel as though they are missing out on life or they
believe that they can only live a life represented by these characters. Dancing girls are the first
step in fairy tales model for every woman s life. They are further explained in Somatexts at the
Disney Shop as templates with contemporaneous popular images of feminine beauty and youth,
their sources ranging from silent screen to glossy pin ups. The 1937 Snow White, with large
expressive eyes, pouty mouth and, and broadly drawn features, is reminiscent of the ingГ©nue
of silent moves (Bell 109). This image of a dancing girl is perfectly executed in the 1937 Disney
s Snow White when Snow White is singing, with an incredibly high pitched voice I may add, by
a wishing well where she meets the man who will later become her prince. This prince
immediately falls for her because of her beautiful fair skin, rosy cheeks and pin up

Theme Of Chaos In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Many people go through different chaotic experiences in their lives, however, how one decides to
restore order to their chaos, is most important. In William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s
Dream, due to simultaneous appearences of chaos throughout the play, it leaves the audience
speculating about the order yet to come, thus, developing/strenghtening the plot of the play. The
various occurences of order and chaos within the play include, the arguments between Titania and
Oberon, the unstable love circle between the four lovers and finally the bizarre relationship
between Titania and Bottom. To begin with, the first occurence of order and chaos within the
play concern Oberon and Titania and their quarreling. When the two main powers of the fairy
realm argue over a child, chaos reflects in their world. For example, one of the unfortunate
complications that arise in the fairy world is that Crows are fatted with the murrion flock; (II.i.97).
Due to Oberon and Titania being so powerful, all the consequences that follow their arguing result
in nature being impacted in a bad way. With this in mind, how Titania describes the devastating
things happening, the audience can infer that the fairy world is in complete chaos. Shakespeare
continuously develops this conflict very slowly, eventually restoring order within the fairy realm.
This specific conflict is resolved when Oberon finally aquires the child from Titania saying, I then
did ask for her changeling child, [...] And now I

Skyhawk Descriptive Writing
I was a little nervous about the wind as we climbed into the cockpit and did our preflight checks.
I explained to Trevor that I have been in small airplanes before but not in this much wind. I wasn
t expecting him to actually let me take off and take over controls, but it wasn t nearly as
terrifying as I thought it would be. I was surprised on how smooth the flight was once we
climbed to about 4000 feet and basically had no turbulence. After some conversation, Trevor and
I both loved to fish in the area, so we aimed towards the 81 ponds and actually flew over Lake
Thompson and talked about fishing most of the flight. I was also surprised to see that that
Skyhawk actually had autopilot. On our way back towards Brookings, Trevor let the plane

Grasmere And Alfoxden Essay
When analysing Dorothy s Grasmere and Alfoxden journals and William s I Wandered Lonely
as a Cloud it is impossible for the question of the true nature of Dorothy and William s
relationship not to be raised. Despite the fact that William married Mary Hutcherson and then had
an affair and a child with his french lover Annette Vallon, his relationship with his sister seemed
to stretch much farther than simple familial love. In an article in The Guardian entitled
Remember Dorothy by James Fenton it is stated that according to Dorothy s journals William
parted from her in order to be with his then soon to be wife Ms Hutcherson. Dorothy writes I gave
him the wedding ring, with how deep a blessing! I took it from my forefinger where I had... Show

However when looking at the Grasmere and Alfoxden journals and Wordsworth s daffodils side by
side through the eyes of a feminist critical thinker and reader, it is difficult to comprehend the
unjustness that women in the nineteenth century faced due to its reigning patriarchal society. The
idea that no one would ve bat an eyelid has Dorothy claimed the part she played in Wordsworth s
poem because she was a mere woman both astounds and angers me.
The relationship between William Wordsworths I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud and Dorothy
Wordsworth s Grasmere Journals is undeniably illuminated when both sources are read side by
side with a feminist point of view. The similarities which I have outlined above are too blatantly
obvious for one to even attempt to deny, this coupled with the fact the Grasmere and Alfoxden
journals were written between the years 1800 and 1803, and Wordsworth s I wandered lonely as a
cloud was written approximately four to seven years

Econ 483 Reflection
Throughout my time at Bowie State University I have gained experience with analytical concepts
and a perfect example of that was in my Econ 483 class which dealt with quantitative analysis.
During my time in the class we would deal with common decision making, with emphasis on
application. Topics discussed included decision making and decision analysis, linear programming,
transportation and assignment problems, forecasting and time series analysis, inventory concepts
and mathematical simulation. Perfect example of this was we were told to find valuable
information about a company as far as the last 10 years and should we invest in the company. We
were to evaluate the companies stock on whether it was increasing or decreasing and make a logical

Rochester Youth Development Study
One study conducted by Chen, Propp, deLara, Corvo at Syracuse University School of Social
Work hypothesized that victims of childhood neglect are more likely to be arrested for juvenile
drug and alcohol offenses than their community matched pairs (Chen et. al, 2013). They also
proposed that adolescents who are male, minority, and neglectvictims are at the greatest risk of
being arrested for juvenile drug and alcohol offenses. This is concurrent with my position that
neglected children are at an increased risk for juvenile delinquency. The study utilized data and
findings from the Childhood Victimization and Delinquency, Adult Criminality, and Violent
Criminal Behavior in a Large Urban County in the Northwest United States, 1980 1997 ... Show

Dr. Cathy S. Widom of the Department of Psychiatry at the New Jersey Medical School, showed
that youth who had been abused or neglected as children were more likely to be arrested as
juveniles (27 percent versus 17 percent), adults (42 percent versus 33 percent) and for a violent
crime (18 percent versus 14 percent) than a comparable control group of young people with no
comparable history of abuse or neglect. In the early study by Widom, the researcher followed
children who had been abused and/or neglected approximately 25 years earlier through an
examination of official criminal records, then compared them with a matched control group of
children of the same age, sex, race, and approximate social class (Widom, 2017). The author
conducted this research in a metropolitan county in the Midwest using cases of child abuse and
neglect that came to the attention of the courts from 1989 through 1992. An assessment of
criminal behavior found that early child abuse and neglect increased the risk of arrest as a
juvenile by 55% and increased the risk of being arrested for a violent crime as a juvenile by 96%.
These researchers also found that those with a history of being abused or neglected were younger

Why My Family And I Started At A Thrift Store
As a mother to a toddler and pregnant with child number two I ve discovered a great passion for
all things green. I have a significant appreciation for this beautiful planet that supplies the air my
babys breath and the earth that helps fill my dinner table. This list will highlight where my
family and I began. It cost significantly less then my cost of living prior to the switch. I simply
cannot stress how effortless it was. Cloth I choose to cloth diaper my children. A very thorough
rundown of the cost to cloth your babys bottom can be found here. http:/
/www.diaperdecisions.com/pages/cost_of_cloth_diapers.php In short, it may cost more upfront
but it s cheaper in the long run. We also use cloth napkins instead of paper. A few dollars spent
once at a thrift store should cover a decent supply for a family of 4. Unplug At this very moment
I have my refrigerator, stove, and washing machine plugged in. If it s not in use it gets
unplugged, period. Dryer less We own one but we don t use it. Even during the cold months you
can find me hanging wet clothes anywhere I can to dry. It s a bit of a hassle but I don t usually
mind it. It s conditioned us to be a little more attentive to our clothes and in general we take better
care of our garments. Homemade Cleaners We make our own laundry detergent and cleaners. I
clean everything with a vinegar base, adding in essential oils depending on what exactly I m

Aryan Paragraph
Introduction The German population were active participants in the persecution and eventual
execution of the Jewish people during the Holocaust. The government did this by slowly creating
the enemy, controlling the enemy, separating the enemy and then initiating what is now known as
the final solution. Paragraph 1: Creating the Enemy Following the Nazi Seizure of Power in 1933,
Hitler built up a Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda headed by Joseph
Goebbels. The Ministry s point was to guarantee that the Nazi message was effectively imparted
through workmanship, music, theatre, films, books, radio, instructive materials, and the press. The
primary flood of enactment, from 1933 to 1934, concentrated to a great extent on restricting... Show

The laws barred German Jews from Reich citizenship and restricted them from wedding or
having sexual relations with people of German or related blood. Ancillary statutes to the laws
disappointed Jews and denied them of most political rights. The Nuremberg Laws, as they
wound up known, did not characterize a Jew as somebody with specific religious convictions.
Rather, any individual who had three or four Jewish grandparents was characterized as a Jew,
paying little mind to whether that individual distinguished himself or herself as a Jew or had a
place with the Jewish religious group. Numerous Germans who had not practised Judaism for
quite a long time got themselves captured in the grasp of Nazi hatred. Indeed, even individuals
with Jewish grandparents who had changed over to Christianity were characterized as Jews. The
motivation behind the Nuremberg Laws was to totally isolate the Jewish populace by never again
thinking about them as a religious gathering however as a race, they did this by putting facial
highlights to the race . This implied the isolation and control of the Jewish populace would be
considerably simpler to complete and execute. Ordinary residents, energized to some degree by
Goebbels hostile to Semitic purposeful publicity, bolstered the Nuremberg Laws and partook in

Semiahmoo History
Semiahmoo Spit back in 1841 was originally called Tongue Point, and the water on either side of
the spit was called Drayton s Bay and Drayton s Cove respectively. In 1857, it was renamed
Semiahmoo Bay. In 1858, the spit was renamed Semiahmoo City. Today the spit is simply referred
to as Semiahmoo.
There were two Semiahmoo Cities back then one on the Spit and one on the mainland. Semiahmoo
of the spit was situated on a tongue of the mainland, extending from a heavily timbered point, some
seven eighths of a mile into the bay. A Portion of the area was cultivated, the rest covered with
pasture.
Semiahmoo City was established in 1857 to supply prospectors of the Frasier River Gold Rush
with shelter, food, and drink. The town consisted of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The year 1984 brought the opening of the original Semiahmoo Resort, which featured reminders
of the Salish Native tribe, the 1850 Gold Rush boomtown and the lifestyles of the cannery workers
from the early 1900 s, along with all the modern facilities of a first class resort.
Today, Semiahmoo offers walking trails, bird watching and sandy beaches for clamming,
beachcombing and picnicking. Semiahmoo Resort has reopened under new management and had
made many refreshing changes. Condominiums blend into the landscape and Semiahmoo Marina is
bustling with boaters headed out to the islands, visiting boaters headed in to enjoy the beauty and
peacefulness of the Marina and the Marina CafГ© is tempting residents and visitors with the scent
of freshly made coffees and sandwiches.

What Is The Effectiveness Of Fear-Based Anti-Drunk Driving...
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in 2013 more than 1.2 million drivers were
arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The National Highway Safety
Administration states that in 2013 there were more than 1,200 deaths related to drinking and
driving in the state of Pennsylvania.
Anti Drunk Driving Campaigns
Anti drunk driving campaigns are designed to encourage people to reconsider their decision to
drink and drive. Although driving while intoxicated campaigns are straightforward, strategies that
will effectively accomplish the objective is much more difficult to pinpoint. Many campaigns use
fear tactics; however, researchers find that using this method is mixed.

How Taxpayer Can Help A Claim Of Negligence Against The...
Taxpayer can also bring a claim of negligence against the Milwaukee Does. The question of the
Does liability follows a very similar analysis of that of the City of Milwaukee, with a few
exceptions. First, Bongo s conduct in shooting the gun will likely be attributed to the Milwaukee
Does as the operator of the event under the legal theory of respondeat superior. Second, in contrast
to the City, the Does will likely not fall under a safe place because they do not own the arena.
Rather, the Does will likely by subject to the traditional negligencestandard of ordinary care. The
legal theory of respondeat superior stands for the proposition that through vicarious liabilitya master
may be liable for the acts of his or her servants in the course of his or her employment. Under this
legal theory courts have found basketball teams labile for the actions of mascots employed by
the team for the negligent acts of the mascot during the course of game. Accordingly, the Does
can be found liable for the negligent acts of Bongo. A Wisconsin court is likely to find a team
liable to spectators for the acts of its mascots and accordingly Taxpayer s recovery against the
Milwaukee Does will likely be successful. The Does most likely instructed Bongo to use the T shirt
cannon during the game as a promotional and entertainment event. Moreover, the Does benefit
greatly from ticket sales and provided the mid game entertainment as a means for increase the
enjoyment of the game, resulting in

Native American Sweat Lodge Research Paper
Native American sweat lodge ceremonies are more than just sweating. They are purifying
rituals used for many purposes depending on the culture and the occasion. Most sweat lodge
ceremonies are used for healing purposes, to give thanks to their spirits or their God, for seeking
of wisdom and to clear their mind, body, and soul. According to aktalakota.stjo.org, the term
sweat lodge means to live again (Raymond A. Bucko, 1989). Native American sweat ceremonies
usually take place in round, circular lodges. Some cultures use teepees, or even pits that are
covered with tree branches. Most lodges or teepees are generally made of wood. Hot rocks are
placed in the middle of the lodge by a firekeeper and heated to 102 degrees. Water is occasionally
poured over the heated rocks to create a hot and steamy lodge. The lodge is designed to make it a
safe and sacred place. It is where they can go to concentrate on the spirits that are invited to the
ceremony. Some ceremonies can last up to two hours (K. Cohen, 2006). According to tradition,
nothing or no one should come into the sweat lodge that does not have Native American
significance and that includes clothing. Therefore, the ceremonies are performed in... Show more

A medicine man begins by setting up an altar. This altar, usually has some type of antler to hold
the sacred pipe. Then he sets four different sacred herbs in the middle of the lodge or teepee.
There are four sacred herbs in the Native culture that are used for sweats. One is sage, which
purifies a room of all negative energies. The second herb is sweet grass which brings in spirits
from the other side to heal you. The third herb is cedar which is for purification purposes. The
fourth herb is tobacco. Tobacco has always been sacred to the Native American culture. The
tobacco is used to smoke in the sacred pipe. This pipe is used to bless the earth (Winona LaDuke

Why We Crave Horror Movies
In his article Why We Crave Horror movies, Stephen King stresses the fact that we are all
mentally ill, and explains why watching horror films is an effective way to deal with our inner
insanity. According to King, we are all insane by human nature, and are made up of anticivilization
emotions. These emotions are integral parts of our personalities, and in order to stay healthy, they
demand periodic exercise. But living in society has taught us to repress these emotions, which is
why he argues that watching horror films provide us with this psychological relief, allowing us to
indirectly deal with anticivilization emotions. According to King, horror movies deliberately
appeal to the worst in us, and therefore, perform the dirty job of satisfying our inner monsters. I
disagree with King because horror movies can also have negative effects. In addition, people have
different ways of channeling out uncivilized emotions.
Horror movies can have negative psychological effects. Although some people enjoy the thrill and
nastiness of horror movies, I, for one, do not. Watching horror films give me nightmares, and make
me extra paranoid. Rather than my inner psyche feeling satisfied, I feel disturbed. Watching horror
films can also cause heightened stress and anxiety. Under more serious conditions, horror films can
even cause PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A woman named Caroline appeared on the
Dr. Phil show, who after watching a horror filmcalled Psycho,

  • 2. What Makes Fake And What Types Of Products, There Are... introduction/Background Before proceeding to the discussion of this topic, it is necessary to determine the order, what is fake and what types of products, there are fakes. There are four kinds of falsification of class luxury goods: fake products replicas of the original products, produced with the aim to give them the originals, thereby deliberately misleading consumers; pirated products demonstrative cheap copies of original products, the production of which is not hiding the fact of forgery; products simulation the goods are not identical to the original product, but like them its content, name, design, appearance or (consumers tend to be aware that these products are not original); products of handicraft production design replicas of branded products without the brand logo and made by masters who work on the brand or produce similar quality and design of products. If we carefully get a grasp of these definitions, it is clear that the luxury goods sector have to face all four kinds of copy, though in varying degrees of intensity. So, the first of these types of counterfeit products one hundred percent fake is implemented on various markets the people who present themselves as official representatives of luxury brands. • 3. Essay on The Cause of the Economic Boom in the 1920 s The Cause of the Economic Boom in the 1920 s By the end of the First World War America was regarded as the most powerful and richest country in the world. In the 1920Вґs the United States economy was booming. This was a period of prosperity, when the country s economy was doing well and some of the people were sharing in it. A long term cause of the American boom in the 1920Вґs was America s natural advantage and regional diversity. The South was mainly used for farming but also had large amounts of oil. The North of America and the East Coast were the richest parts of America because there was lots of industry, business and many new factories were being built providing new jobs. This large area of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... America was only able to do all these things as the country was rich and full of resources. America did not suffer any damages in the war (apart from loss of military lives) whereas it s business rivals such as Britain suffered hugely. There was a huge rise in production at this time. There were many important short term causes as well as the obvious long term cause and turning point that contributed to the boom. One short term reason for the boom was the policy of the Republican Party. From 1920 to 1932 all the US presidents were Republican. Republicans believed that the government should interfere as little as possible in the everyday lives of the people. When the Republicans came to power they introduced tariffs, this made it expensive to buy foreign goods. The tariffs protected US businesses from competition. The Republicans kept taxation as low because of this everybody had more money and they would buy American goods (because they were cheaper) or invest it in the American economy. The Republican attitude was to interfere as little as possible in business and let people handle it the way they saw fit, the result of this was a richer and happier America for about 60% of the people. Another short term reason for the boom was the emergence of new industries in America. Americans loved new products such as the automobile, by 1929 millions of people owned cars. A ... They change the United States in several ways, but what they cannot change and take full control over are Americans unalienable rights. Unalienable rights have also been known as God given rights, which means that they cannot be given or taken away by the government. In The Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson, he takes John Locke s theory of live, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to express how unalienable rights gives Americans the chance to live their lives freely. Americans live their lives however they want to. They have the ability to expresses themselves, because unalienable rights gives them that opportunity as long as ...they do not interfere with the liberty of others (The Declaration 2). People take advantage of this freedom and express themselves through the choices they make. America s young adults take advantage how they live to show people another way living. As the name suggests, coffeehouses focus on providing coffee and tea as well as light snacks. Food choices range from pastries and muffins to soups and sandwiches. From a cultural standpoint, coffeehouses largely serve as centers of social interaction: that provides social members with a place to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass time, whether individually or in small groups. More chain operators will probably aim for a middle ground between the in and out coffee bar and the full fledged coffee house. The type of food that the beverage retailers plan to add to their offerings is the key to these distinctions. The cafГ© is a place where someone can have a cup of coffee while reading newspaper, or talk to a friend, and then get on with it (Restaurant Business vol. 96, 1996). Metro Manila is currently being swept by a coffee drinking epidemic, and yuppies and young people are filling coffee places that have introduced previously unknown coffee blends from all over the world. According to Norman Koplas in his book A Cup of Coffee, more than a third of the world s people drink coffee today, and that probably includes us, although we are not on the radar screen as an important coffee producer despite the fact that many of us swear by the barako from Batangas. The following account is derived from the book of Koplas, who has written about food in the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. By the 16th century, coffee drinking was widespread in the Arab world. Coffeehouses became more popular than mosques, leading to their closure in Mecca, Cairo and Constantinople. He often experimented with different artistic forms and techniques. Being surrounded by Italian art, he often used oils in his paintings . His work sparked a new style of art in Italy. In 1481, at the age of 30, da Vinci moved to Milan to work for the Duke of Milan. Although relatively few of da Vinci s paintings and sculptures survive, two of his extant works are among the world s most well known and admired paintings. The first is da Vinci s The Last Supper, painted during his time in Milan, from about 1495 to 1498. The Agean Sea was filled with tsunamis, ash, and volcanic rock that caused the sea to boil. It was the largest eruption Europe had seen in over 2000 years. Right now you re probably wondering how this has anything to do with the subject at hand. This is the story of how an eruption sparked one of the biggest debates in the history of the Eastern Orthodox Church. The eruption of Santorini and the invading Muslims caused the emperor to change Christian history. Emperor Leo III of Constantinople saw this eruption as a sign that God was angry with the empire. Leo was confused by this and wondered why God was angry with him while He continued to allow the Muslims to invade Christian territories. The emperor had a theory that since the Muslims were iconoclastic, which means they were against the images of religious figures such as a painting of Jesus. Hence whenever an ultra vires act has been or is about to be undertaken, any member of the company can get an injunction to restrain it from proceeding with it. In this case the House of Lords observed that the doctrine of ultra vires, as it was explained in the Ashbury s case, should be maintained. But it ought to be reasonably and not unreasonably understood and applied and that whatever may fairly be regarded as incidental to the objects authorized ought not to be held ultra vires, unless it is expressly prohibited. Accordingly in London County Council V Attorney General , the council having statutory power to work tramways was restrained from running omnibus in connection with tramways. • 16. Life of Workers in Staithes Essay Close by the giant textile mill row on row on row of drab terrace houses huddle together as if to fend off the bitter cold of a winter night in December of 1811. Night obscures the narrow streets of the industrial village of Holmeside as morning s hesitant light pokes through the canopy of dismal clouds. Inside the mill, workers have been toiling for hours. They rose from their beds early and put on their work clothing. The lucky ones ate a crust of bread and drank the remains of yesterday s milk before stepping out into the chilly darkness to make their way to the mill. They carried the smallest children. Older children plodded along sleepily as if newly raised from the dead and not yet accustomed to walking. The eldest child is the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All that is human is troubled by their failure to benefit except by Death s summons. The portal of the grave is their only means of escape. Some said the disadvantages of the poor were their own making. Many believed that the working poor were not fully human, but a bestial and inferior species, unlike themselves, specifically supplied by Providence as servants through whose labour they ran profitable enterprises. The poor were seen as a raw material in the same class as wool and cotton. They were cheap to employ and easy to replace. Those that looked down on workers failed to see that working conditions in textile mills were why workers were afflicted with conditions for which no treatment existed. These early morning people move in procession through the streets, uniting with others at street junctions to form broader streams, merging with other streams as they neared the mill to form a grand current of humanity closing on the massive iron gates of the mill that were symbols of imprisonment. Once inside the gates, workers fanned out to go to various work stations to work as machine minders in the manufactory. This was the common condition of men, women, and children in the hard textile country of Yorkshire s West Riding. The characters of Yorkshire folk were forged in the crucibles of harsh terrain and exacting industrial environments. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I sat huddled in the torn green back seats with five boys from my class listening intently as a sixth grader explained to us some of the games the middle schoolers played at recess. It s called FMK. Fuck, Marry, Kill. You have to choose which person you would fuck, marry, or kill. Some of the boys giggled but some stayed quiet, not understanding what he meant. The older boy, Josh, relished in the moment, thinking it funny that he knew so much more than us and giddy to be the one to corrupt our young minds. He said, Okay I ll give an example so you understand. Gerard you have to choose, FMK Johnny, Kevin, or Veronica. • 20. The Pros And Cons Of Downsizing For the purpose of the research, we would narrow down our discussion on one of the elements of the employee relations, which is downsizing. Downsizing, also known as restructuring and rightsizing, is the planned elimination of jobs in an organization. It is essentially the reverse of a company growing and suggests a one time change in the organization and the number of people employed. (R.Wayne Mondy, Robert M.Noe, Shane R. Premeaux, Judy Bandy Mondy) So, typically, downsizing will shrink both the organization and the number of people in the organization. Downsizing does not always turn a company around. This is because downsizing does not solve the fundamental causes of problems. (R.Wayne Mondy, Robert M.Noe, Shane R. Premeaux, Judy Bandy Mondy) For instance, some organizations have not developed an appropriate strategy for growth. They only focus on reducing costs, but not solving the problem that leads to the downsizing decision. Besides, when one firm downsizes, others in the same industry must also follow as they are competitive to each other. (R.Wayne Mondy, Robert M.Noe, Shane R. The third article I researched took a different approach on water purification. Rather than making giant desalination plants to make clean water, this article talked about how we can chemically treat individual bottles of water easily to get rid of bacteria with iodine or chlorine tablets. However, this method of purification is extremely inefficient for many reasons. You cannot mask the taste of iodine or chlorine. Furthermore, no type of chemical will be able to get rid of organic matter, so if the water is from a pond or lake, you will need to carry around a filter to get rid of it. Even though this process is good for people who need clean water on the go and instantaneously, it is not a reliable way to get rid of the world problem of unsanitary water. The next article takes a similar approach about water purification since it targets individual small bodies of water. An ultraviolet lamp eliminates all types of bacteria and dirt, ensuring clean and pure water. The only problem with this is that it leaves only distilled water, which is water that is drained of all its minerals; this makes distilled water not suitable for drinking. Fairy Tales Stereotypes According to Disney, and other fairy tales, there are only three things that a woman can be; a pretty, love motivated dancing girl , a femme fatale that knows of the power her sexuality can have on those around her and is trying to use this power for control, and a pear shaped grandmother all knowing and just trying to help a poor dancing girl find the prince of her wildest dreams. Throughout fairy tales and movies there is constant examples of these three women and only these three models of women. This poses a problem for growing girls as maybe they do not fit one of these archetypes, and feel as though they are missing out on life or they believe that they can only live a life represented by these characters. Dancing girls are the first step in fairy tales model for every woman s life. In William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream, due to simultaneous appearences of chaos throughout the play, it leaves the audience speculating about the order yet to come, thus, developing/strenghtening the plot of the play. The various occurences of order and chaos within the play include, the arguments between Titania and Oberon, the unstable love circle between the four lovers and finally the bizarre relationship between Titania and Bottom. To begin with, the first occurence of order and chaos within the play concern Oberon and Titania and their quarreling. When the two main powers of the fairy realm argue over a child, chaos reflects in their world. For example, one of the unfortunate complications that arise in the fairy world is that Crows are fatted with the murrion flock; (II.i.97). Due to Oberon and Titania being so powerful, all the consequences that follow their arguing result in nature being impacted in a bad way. With this in mind, how Titania describes the devastating things happening, the audience can infer that the fairy world is in complete chaos. The question of the Does liability follows a very similar analysis of that of the City of Milwaukee, with a few exceptions. First, Bongo s conduct in shooting the gun will likely be attributed to the Milwaukee Does as the operator of the event under the legal theory of respondeat superior. Second, in contrast to the City, the Does will likely not fall under a safe place because they do not own the arena. Rather, the Does will likely by subject to the traditional negligencestandard of ordinary care. The legal theory of respondeat superior stands for the proposition that through vicarious liabilitya master may be liable for the acts of his or her servants in the course of his or her employment. Under this legal theory courts have found basketball teams labile for the actions of mascots employed by the team for the negligent acts of the mascot during the course of game. They are purifying rituals used for many purposes depending on the culture and the occasion. Most sweat lodge ceremonies are used for healing purposes, to give thanks to their spirits or their God, for seeking of wisdom and to clear their mind, body, and soul. According to aktalakota.stjo.org, the term sweat lodge means to live again (Raymond A. Bucko, 1989). Native American sweat ceremonies usually take place in round, circular lodges. Some cultures use teepees, or even pits that are covered with tree branches. Most lodges or teepees are generally made of wood. Hot rocks are placed in the middle of the lodge by a firekeeper and heated to 102 degrees. Water is occasionally poured over the heated rocks to create a hot and steamy lodge. The lodge is designed to make it a safe and sacred place. It is where they can go to concentrate on the spirits that are invited to the ceremony. Some ceremonies can last up to two hours (K. Why We Crave Horror Movies In his article Why We Crave Horror movies, Stephen King stresses the fact that we are all mentally ill, and explains why watching horror films is an effective way to deal with our inner insanity. According to King, we are all insane by human nature, and are made up of anticivilization emotions. These emotions are integral parts of our personalities, and in order to stay healthy, they demand periodic exercise. But living in society has taught us to repress these emotions, which is why he argues that watching horror films provide us with this psychological relief, allowing us to indirectly deal with anticivilization emotions. According to King, horror movies deliberately appeal to the worst in us, and therefore, perform the dirty job of satisfying our inner monsters. I disagree with King because horror movies can also have negative effects. In addition, people have different ways of channeling out uncivilized emotions. Horror movies can have negative psychological effects. Although some people enjoy the thrill and nastiness of horror movies, I, for one, do not. Watching horror films give me nightmares, and make me extra paranoid. Rather than my inner psyche feeling satisfied, I feel disturbed.
