3. I chosen Scotland because I think it’s a beautiful country and has a lot
of ancient traditions and stories like the monster of the Loch Ness.
Also the scottish landscapes are one of the most beautiful landscapes
of the world in my opinion, the lochs and the castles are part of the
culture and make this country unique.
4. Situation of Scotland
Scotland is a country that is part of the
United Kingdom. It’s located to the north
of England and has a population of
around 6 million people.
Even the largest city is Glasgow the
capital is Edinburgh. It has more than 790
islands. The money used is the pound
sterling.
5. Information of Scotland
The Kingdom of Scotland was an independent state
until 1707 when it signed the Act of Union with
England to create the Kingdom of Great Britain.
Scotland is famous for the clans, the medieval
castles,the Haggis, a food made from the organs of
sheep and oatmeal, the kilts the traditional scottish
woolen cloth and the Bagpipers, the people who play
the bagpipes, a traditional instrument. The official
lenguages are the english the scotish and the welsh and
tourism is very important to the economy of Scotland.

7. The Highlands and the Lowlands
Scotland is divided in two parts, the
Highlands and the Lowlands. The
Highlands are an historic and
mountainous region of Scotland, there
are situated in the north part of Scotland.
It is an area with low population density
and a very varied relief, it has a lot of
lochs like the Loch Ness.
In the south part there are the Lowlands
that is a division of the Scottish territory
unofficial but deeply rooted, used and
popular.
8. Information about the Loch Ness
Is a large and deep freshwater lake
located in the Highlands from
Scotland in the UK. Extening for
approximately 37 km southwest of
Inverness. Is best known for alleged
sightings of the cryptozoological
Loch Ness Monster. Loch is the
Scottish word for lake, is the second
largest Scottish loch by surface area
after Loch Lomond but due its
great depth is it the largest by
volume. Its deepest point is 230 m
9. Facts about the Loch Ness
- There is more water in Loch Ness than all the other lakes in
England, Scotland and Wales put together.
- It is said that the loch never freezes and this is true.
-The surface area of the Loch Ness lake could hold the
population of the world 10 times over.
-The only island in the loch is the Cherry island, its only 140
meters
10. The Loch Ness monster, also known as Nessie, is an
apparent prehistoric dinosaur that lives in Loch Ness,
next to the city of Inverness
The monster has become a national celebrity over time
for tourists coming to Scotland in search for the famous
creature. Most scientists say the evidence supporting the
existence os Nessie is not convicing. The firt sigh was
on the year 565 by San Columba but the monster
became famous after the April 1933 sighting.
