5. Showcase Yourself In an interview, don’t worry about “tooting your own horn.” Colleges want to see the best side of yourself. Talk positively about yourself and your experiences that make you a good candidate. Be enthusiastic!
6. Speak about Special Circumstances Don’t be embarrassed to reveal personal information in an interview if it is relevant to your collegiate success. For example: If you had a traumatic experience in high school that caused your grades to drop, discuss it. If you struggle with a particular subject but have proof of your perseverance, show it. 8. Ask questions. Asking questions shows that you are listening and interested in what the other person has to say. Come to the interview with questions prepared, and make notes of others you think of as you’re talking.
