• Born and raised in New Mexico
• fascinated by cultural crossings unique to the
Southwest, a combination of Old Spain and New Spain,
of Mexico with Mesoamerica and the anglicizing forces

DYNAMIC CHARACTERS
One who undergoes important
changes as a plot unfolds. The
changes occur because of his or
her actions and experiences in the
story. The change is usually
internal and may be good or bad.
Main characters are usually, though
not always, dynamic.
VOCABULARY (QUIZ FRIDAY)
Epidemic- a widespread occurrence of an
infectious disease in a community.
Descendant- a person, plant or animal that is
descended from its ancestor.
Impulse- a sudden strong and unreflective urge
to act.
Fleeting- lasting for a very short time.
Romanticize- to view in an unrealistic or

Reverie- a state of being lost in one’s thoughts.

  • 11. DYNAMIC CHARACTERS One who undergoes important changes as a plot unfolds. The changes occur because of his or her actions and experiences in the story. The change is usually internal and may be good or bad. Main characters are usually, though not always, dynamic.
  • 12. VOCABULARY (QUIZ FRIDAY) Epidemic- a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community. Descendant- a person, plant or animal that is descended from its ancestor. Impulse- a sudden strong and unreflective urge to act. Fleeting- lasting for a very short time. Romanticize- to view in an unrealistic or sentimental way. Reverie- a state of being lost in one’s thoughts. A daydream.
