‘No More Change in Climate’ with this slogan ‘Climate Radio’ initiative has been started. This is an on-demand online radio from Bangladesh. On May 2009 it has started the mission by publishing the voice of climate victims as an not for profit initiative of Machizo Multimedia Communication.

2. • ‘No More Change in Climate’ with this slogan ‘Climate Radio’ initiative has been
started.
This is a on-demand online radio from Bangladesh.
• The initiative was started on May 2009 by making a online audio documentary on
grassroots voice on climate change jointly with the Panos South Asia.
• The purpose of the initiative is to present the voice of Bangladeshi victims in
global stage through the global media Internet.
• We do believe although it is a small local content publishing initiative, but have
power to reach the global policy makers and huge number of audience.
• By knowing the Bangladesh victims voice at least one spirit of Northern World will
stop the source of green house gas emission by reducing his/her extra car and
emitters; however global consciousness will be raised to stop Bangladeshi floods
and suffering of climate victims Bangladeshi like venerable counties.

3. • The motivation of the project is to doing campaign in online in favor
of climate change victims, however use of new-media for social
good by rising the grassroots voice worldwide.
• In the way, by publishing voice of victims, we have visited a number
of southern districts and Bangladeshi Islands.
• We have produced a complete documentary ‘Victims’ on the issues.
• However we have recorded the voice of state head, misters, expert,
journalist and voice in climate change tribunal organized by CSRL/
Oxfam in Dhaka.

4. • Result:
• Global and local awareness will be arise on the climate change which will
be available for climate negotiation, climate finance that is compensation
getting for Bangladesh like venerable counties for climate change.
• People will be able to know Bangladesh grassroots crude reality
• The democratic participation of the grassroots people particularly the
rural poor by strengthening the media intervention
• A group of people particularly the grassroots youth may will be concern
about the problem, however voice of voiceless will be rich to global level
• Innovative use of multimedia and citizen journalism will start for social
good and new dimension of development journalism in Bangladesh

6. • Future Plan
Initiative a “Live Full Phase Online and or Broadcasting Climate Radio”
• Train up climate change journalist networking priority grassroots youth to who
will be profoundly skill on local content production, social media and online
campaign
• We would like to train up grassroots youths (age limit 10-18) as ‘citizen journalist’
who are living in the most vulnerable climate change hotspots in Bangladesh. The
main purpose of training is to develop a group of young citizen journalists who will
be active to produce quality local contents on climate change as well as grassroots
issues.
• They will upload produce and upload the content online directly from the spot and
share the local voice without any censorship. In a way the local media and local
voice will be active which will be favorable democracy and development.
• The goal has been set up for strengthening the grassroots voice of climate victims
in global stage with new media and digital media intervention which will reflect to
the effective solution of digital divide as well.
