The initiative to bid an eco-friendly farewell to Lord
Ganesha turned bigger this year. It was last year
that a city-based industrialist and the Rotary club
of Baroda Cosmopolitan (RCBC) had joined hands
to promote eco-friendly 'visarjan' asking people to
immerse Lord Ganesha's idols in clean water tanks
instead of dumping it in garbage filled lakes and
ponds.

Vadodara SVR is the first in the
country who allows the idols to
get submerged in the water
tank and then they separate the
solid waste form the water and
recycle the water for reuse.

•The rivers, ponds and lakes can be be kept clean and
pollution free.
•Aquatic animals and plants will be protected from
harmful chemicals.
8. Scope
If this process is implemented by all the
states of the country around 50% of water
pollution can be controlled.
Water can be supplied to areas where there is
scarcity.
