1. MY ID
SHOBI SEN
Today‟s the day, tonight‟s the
7STARRCHASERS night.
Creating an identity online can be
difficult. I found it very challenging
to stand out from the multitudes of
engaging personalities presenting
themselves on the „interweb‟. Until
I realized that there could only
ever be one me. Currently my ID
consists of me trying to put myself
out there, just as I would in a real
life, face to face situation.
2.
3. Ultimately my mission is to
present myself in a way
where I can honestly say,
“Yeah that‟s me.” I Don‟t
really want to be someone
I‟m not, and I want people
to know the mind behind
the works presented.
Creating a personality
takes time and talent.
Whether it is fictional or
realistic.

6. I use Instagram to share
my love of photography
to my friends and people
who have the same
interests as me. I am
very selective as to what
I upload.
7. I joined twitter early on, and
didn‟t have too much use
for it. Up until I realized that
it had so much potential. I
use Twitter mainly for
information. I think
participating is easy,
because it felt natural to
want to re-tweet something
someone said, almost like
you would share a piece of
gossip.
8. As much as I tried to keep
Twitter professional,
sometimes you can‟t help
but be a little personal.
Tweeting articles, pieces of
information, and things that
matter to me, allow me to
flesh out my Twitter profile.
9. Facebook is almost completely personally. I use it to purely connect with friends and
people that I am interested in. Here I upload my photos, musings and „fun‟ things. I
have never really used Facebook to publish any academic work, and I don‟t see
that changing in the near future.
10.
11. My Tumblr is almost as if
my Twitter and Facebook
merged. Here I can be
myself without having to
worry about being too
professional or personal. I
use Tumblr mostly to
appease my inner fangirl,
and I find that I am most
participatory on this
platform. Re-blogging,
commenting, creating
media such as “gifs”
especially for my profile, I
find myself putting more
time and effort to the posts
made on Tumblr.
12. Creating a successful Tumblr
for pure entertainment is an
achievement. Myself and
some friends were inspired to
create a blog centered
around American swimmer,
Nathan Adrian, and have
managed to gather over 300
followers to-date. This is why,
I find, that Tumblr is more of
a community based platform.
13. Connecting different social media allows content
to flow from one aspect of my life to another.
Using different posts to gather feedback from
various people is a great way of attaining a wider
audience.
14. ABC Pool is new to me. I have begun to explore it but unfortunately have no content
that I feel fits the requirements of the platform. Undoubtedly I feel that it will be
important in the future, but for now, it lays there unused.
