 The Roman empire
started in Rome which
is the capital of Italy .
 It was so bad it
spread across Europe.
 They wanted to come
to Britain but it was
overseas.
 They had to get 80
ships to get to
Britain.

4. Julius Ceasar
• Julius Caesar was
the first to invade
Britain.
• Julius Ceasar was
assasinated.
• He was an
Emperor.

5. Roman Baths
 Romans were the
people who made
baths.
 Romans had to
share a bath.
 They went to chat
with friends.
 They used oil
instead of soap.

6. Colosseum
 They fight to death.
 Gladiators fought
there.
 The Colosseum was
built 3,000 years ago.
 It has 80 entrances.

7. Roman Soldier
 They wore sandals.
 They fought in
battle.
 They had armor.
 The Roman Soldiers
had huge swords.
 They had two types
of soldiers.

8. Tortoise Formation
• It only took two shields.
• This formation protects all
of the Romans apart from
there face.
• The Tortoise Formation
protected all of there
important organs .
• All of the Romans body
was quite protected.

9. Roman Gladiator
• The Gladiator
fought tigers
and slaves.
• They fought
in the
Colosseum.

10. Roman Banquet
 Rich Romans ate bird
inside of bird.
 Poor Romans ate
bread, porridge and
soup.
 When they were sick
the slaves had to clean
it.
 The Romans lay down
to eat.
