Liquid Militia has 2 team riders competing this weekend, Tera Laho is our resident PWC Champion and
Kelsey runs up our Freediving, with a crossover into the PWC family. Both our team riders have partnered
up to take on a grueling 300 mile endurance race on February 28th, 2015 at Crazy Horse Campgrounds in
Lake Havasu, Arizona. They will be competing among a crowd of 47 registered teams from all across the
nation and with international entries abroad.
Both have been spending time in Havasu training and putting together their race strategy and design the
past month.
“Checking in for an awesome race weekend at the 11th annual Mark Hahn 300 memorial race sponsored
by Hot Products. We would like to thank Yamaha Motor Corporation for their continued support, Bud Light
Romer Beverage Co., Beachcomber Lake Havasu, KSH Fuel Products, Liquid Militia Clothing, Jet Pilot
Staff US, River Rat Motorsports, Skat-Trak, HWC, Bomber Eyewear and our entire pit crew and family!”
states Tera,
We are running race boat #27.
KELSEY will start the 300 for the first time, to gain the full experience as a rookie so she can experience
the satisfaction of the intensity a full line of water craft deliver when they all head for the first turn buoy
across Lake Havasu! The weather is scheduled to be rough, with wind and if it comes out of the North
like its setting 2 days out, the lake will be alive. We anticipate a rough water race and extreme
temperature changes due to the wind chill if this weather pattern holds steady. 2009 was the last year
when the race track was lively.
“Kelsey will be in her second race, last year she entered the LB2CAT offshore race. I’ve had plenty of
years of fantastic racing and I felt it would be best to give her the shot of adrenaline I’ve enjoyed for so
long and as a team, that’s what it is all about, picking your moment, giving your team mate the reigns as
much as you want the reigns, and so it is! It’s a great feeling knowing that she’s coming on board to
experience the perspective I’ve enjoyed for so long and which continues today from when I first began
competing in the 1980’s.’ says world champion Laho. We are proud to have 2 find athletes represent
Liquid Militia clothing, we will be on site to lend them support. Good luck team riders!
