Future of Redbooks: Delivering in-depth Redbook content in a dynamic and collaborative way (Jennifer Heins) We often hear that Redbooks become out-of-date and how there is no easy way to update them when newer product versions are released. We listened to your feedback, starting at Lotusphere last year, and as a result we've partnered with the IBM Redbooks team to deliver Redbooks Wikis. Wikis are a natural choice due to the dynamic and collaborative nature of the technology. Now that we are in the midst of this transformation we want to know what you think. Are wikis an effective way to deliver this information? What do you like and what would you want to see improved? Come share your experiences and opinions on this popular form of enablement. This BoF session is for administrators, developers, and really anyone who has ever used a Redbook. Domino-pedia One Year Later At the 2008 Lotusphere, we met with members of the community to hear about how they used Wikis and more importantly, what they would like to see in a product-focused Wiki. A year later, the Notes and Domino Wiki is one of the most active of all the IDC product Wikis. We want to talk about what's working, what's not, and how you use this Wiki in your organization. Topic Description Facilitators Hands-on with Info 2.0 - The future of technical content Have you ever been confronted with too much information or too many options? Bluegrass, hDITA, and RaRE - Bluegrass provides the server-side aggregation and transformation of content, hDITA provides semantics on top of the HTML markup, and RaRE offers a very decoupled way for users to share ratings and reviews of content IBM Mashup Center - see how we're using Mashup Center to make technical content findable, filterable, and customizable on key criteria Video-based doc - see how the Lotus Forms Turbo team is using flash-based demos and product-integrated help to provide all end user documentation Jen Heins Hands-on with Info 2.0 - Tapping into the power of the community to boost technical content Info 2.0 is all about tapping into the collective knowledge of Lotus experts, both inside and outside of IBM. Explore our product wikis and hear about plans to transition all product documentation to them. See how we've used redwikis as a dynamic and collaborative approach to creating and maintaining in-depth, Redbook content. And check out the new look we're planning for the Lotus discussion forums using a new XPages-based design. We look forward to your feedback and suggestions.
