My sister in law wrote this about my dad. We made copies

1. We feel honored to have not only known Eddie but to have had him as a prime part of our lives. For Jason
and Brad, having him as a dad has made them the men they are today. By the examples Eddie showed, we
have all learned to live no matter if we thought them crazy or not. He is instilled in the back of every major
decision that is made. We hear his words in our minds in the things we do. He has shown us the qualities and
strength we want to pass down to our families. The children look up to him and remember all the little
things. These are things we will remember with them so he is not forgotten in their little minds but
remembered in their hearts always.
Family is a strong connection and Eddie brought us all together as family. Our bond will only grow stronger
as we all grasp to make sense of what has happened. He was not only our dad but he gave us a sister,
grandparents, an aunt & uncle and nephews. Eddie believed in the unity of family. Although there were
miles between, he had all his pictures and memories that kept everyone close to him. He loved to just dial the
phone to chat and keep caught up. He didn't let the distance matter. We all need to remember life is short, not
promised... and in that respect, we all need to do all things possible to make sure we all keep connected..
As time goes by, we will make sure that the legacy of Clarence 'Eddie' Johnston will continue in us and the
grandchildren. We will make sure to instill the values and beliefs that Eddie felt so strong to teach us will be
known by them. They will know 'Paw' loves them and is in each one of their hearts.
We would like to thank all of you for giving and sharing the man we all know as our dad, a.k.a. 'PA W'.
