Indian tier 2 cities are on a growth curve. They have the large market sizes and are difficult to ignore. Infrastructural constraints that are limiting growth of tier 2 cities even though they have more diversified economic structure now. Surat and Coimbatore are examples of cities which have progressed due to improvements in governance and civic administration. Most tier 2 cities have high per capita incomes and better quality of life than tier 1 cities in India.
