 The Philippines has two
seasons, wet and dry.
 unexpected tropical
storms occur.
 A lot of casualties are left
when the typhoons
strike.
Objectives of the Study
Improvise a circuit;
Gather the materials and tools needed for the
construction;
Construct the improvised device;
Objectives of the Study
Test the functionality of the device on the
basis of water detection and alarm system.
Significance of the Study
Help warn people of an incoming
flood, especially at night
Decrease the casualties and damage of
properties
Scope and Limitations
Limited to one pair of sensors
For detection of flood
electrical power source (1.5V batteries)
Positioning or placing of the device depends
on the area

Materials Needed:
1 Megaphone
2 Resistors(10KΩ and
56 K Ω)
1 Integrated Circuit
(555 timer)
3 Capacitors (two
0.01 µF and a 47µF)
Wires (At least one
meter)
6 1.5V batteries

It is recommended:
to use a larger siren for a larger range of
homes to be alerted
To use a 220-Volt source
to incorporate the power-utilization property
of emergency lights (in case of blackouts)
