FOUNDATION
Sakshi Institute of Technology and Management is
established in 2012 under the Madhya Pradesh
Government and affiliated from RGPV, Technical
University Bhopal
The Institute started functioning from May, 2012

OBJECTIVES
• To impart high quality technical knowledge in the
field of Engineering & Technology to the students.
• To achieve excellence at par with the global
standards by engaging highly proficient tutor guide
(TG) and procuring the latest and most advanced
educational tools.
• To provide a conducive learning environment to the
students and opportunities for overall personality
development to enable them to play their positive
roles as members of society.

Road Map to
Strengthen Teaching
Learning Process

Beginning of session:
• Choice of subjects asked from each faculty member.
• Departmental meeting called for allocation of subjects
– Subjects allocated generally on the basis of first preference and in special case
based on expertise
– Generally no allocation of the same subject to the faculty member if taught by
him / her for three consecutive times
• Departmental meeting called for determining requirements of
laboratories, books etc. for the next session/semester
• Preparation of course–wise lecture plan & discussion with senior faculty
and Heads of the Departments for suggestions and improvements.
• Planning of class tests semester wise

DURING SESSION
•A course file for every subject is meticulously prepared and
maintained throughout the semester which comprises of
– Lecture plan prepared right at the beginning of the semester to
enable subsequent improvements as well as to ensure monitoring
– Lecture wise progress report. The progress is compared with
reference to lecture plan from time to time
– Tutorial & Assignment sheets
– List of identified weak students and action taken
– Handouts.
•Attendance record prepared before examination

-Supplementary Process
• Answer scripts of the mid term examination checked within two days.
• Answer scripts of class tests and mid term examination shown to the
students
• Attendance-record shown and students with less than 75% attendance
detained

• Quality Assurance in Practical Classes
– Batch size: Approx. 30 students per batch.
– Duration: 2hrs / week/ practical course
– Students come prepared and with written work completed for the
practical assigned in the lab.
– Observations obtained by the students are verified by the instructor at
the experimental table itself

• STUDENTS’ PROJECT POLICY
 Uniform Procedure for planning and execution of project
 Project coordinator appointed by each department who follows a common time line
 Suggestions for the projects
- Faculty suggests the project along with the brief synopsis and a note on cost and feasibility.
- Students are encouraged to come up with their own ideas and discuss its possibility with the
project coordinator or any faculty member they wish to consult.
- No two projects should be conceptually same
 Project approval by the evaluation committee appointed by the department
 Group formation
- Each project group shall consist of four members in general.
 Evaluation
- Based on planning of the project, team work, and actual work accomplished.
- Mid term evaluation : at least one presentation
- End of semester evaluation (internal)
 Submission of project report in prescribed format
