SEVAI/OFI Partners Dairy farm Services
• Provides the villagers complete end to end solutions in dairy farming
• This cow farm consulting services focuses on efficiency as well as
efficacy.
• This Cow project fully utilizes optimum local resources.
• SEVAI/OFI Partners Dairy farm Services Include the aspects of
dairy farm operations such as:
• Developing annual business plan, Farm layout, Manpower planning,
Training sessions, Sourcing of Livestock, Fodder management
Computation of feed, Optimization of operating costs and efficiency
ratios.
• Designing of most economical, comfortable and secure cow sheds
and other required spaces, Focus on maximizing productive
investment and minimizing investment on non productive items,
lucrative returns on investment.
• Etension to cow farmers and service for poor and needy children
5. The Need, Opportunity, Training &
Sustainability
• The Need :women are typically the most
disadvantaged – supporting most of the family
burdens (children, water, health, nutrition,
etc)…
• Opportunity: Starting with just one unit cows,
a woman can build her own source of milk,
manure, meat and money for the benefit of
her family.
• Training & Sustainability – it is key to the
success & sustainability of the scheme for the
women to learn both cow-rearing (including
animal health), and how to save and invest
surplus income.

8. Dairy Project strategy
• Study of the project villages in 2011.
• Establishment of Dairy farm in 2012
• Project extension and marketing 2013.
• Cooperative formation, training women SHGs
and cow owners for better quality of milk and
feeding and calf rearing orientation.
• Self sustaining, training and the profit is used for
feeding poor children and taking care of
handicapped children

• Cows shelter has been constructed.
• Calf shelter has been constructed.
• Drinking water, feeding arrangements done.
• Growing green fodder and paddy straw for cattle
feeding.
• Purchase of Cows
• Formation of cooperative,training,marketing
• Procurement of milking machine and grass cutter.
• Setting up a goat unit as auxiliary project
30. Financial status
• Grant received from OFI-France EURO= 12211 equal to
Indian Rs.886213.
• The sales of milk is Rs.836000.
• Loan taken from Dr.Benjamine and other sources is
Rs.1094967.
• The current value of loan in Euros:13685 to be repaid.
• The project has asset of 29 cows,14 calves, one milking
machine, two grass cutting machine and infrastructure
for maintaining these cows and their calves
• SEVAI needs to repay the loan of 13685 Euros.
• Working revolving fund of Indian Rupees 500000.
