4. GSM/GPRS datalogger with built-in IO’s and telecontrol functions
LOG DATA in CSV format(on built-
in I/O’s or external ones via RS485
or Ethernet, max 100 tags):
-log files via FTP/E-MAIL
-last row via SMS
-on microSD or microSDHC
-even the system file (syslog) with
events, alarms, errors and
commands received can be logged
ACTION ON EVENT
In addition to alarm sending via
SMS/email, Z-GPRS2 can run
up to 3 actions (ex. CLOSE
OUTPUT1, RESET COUNTER
1 and START LOGGER)
ALARMS TYPE
Alarm thresholds via SMS/E-
MAIL are available for each
input, alarms concern counters,
totalizers, digital input
increases, power outage,
plumbing leaks, on solar panel
malfunction, the hour counter…
GPS COORDINATES
Only for actions lied to
Sunrise and sunset time
BACKUP BATTERIES
In the event of a blackout
sends last data and
alarms/actions lied to the
blackout
GSM COMMUNICATION
«Fast» sms commands and
«Zero cost» ring commands
ETHERNET
COMMUNICATION
SERVER FUNCTION
-Web server
-FTP CLIENT
-Modbus TCP-IP client/server
GPRS COMMUNICATION
(APN represents the gateway
to the internet access):
-Send log files via FTP (FTP
CLIENT)
-Send logs/alarms via email
ETHERNET/GPRS
COMMUNICATION CHANNEL
REDUNDANT FUNCTION
Data sending via the Ethernet
port, if there are any connection
problems, the system switches
to send data via the GPRS
network.

6. Z-GPRS2
Modbus TCP/IP client
Link on TCP/IP with PLCs or HMI Modbus TCP/IP Server. Z-GPRS2 is Modbus TCP/IP client for logging
their data and sending data through FTP or SMS alarms (max 30 different SMS text)
HUB
Ethernet link through
ModBus TCP-IP protocol
Local LAN
Sending sms alarms on
changing status (digital
or analogue) on PLCs
Sending data of
*.csv file through
FTP
Sending mail
for alarms or
logging data
7. Z-GPRS2
ModBus TCP/IP server
• Z-GPRS2 acquire data on Rs 485 from modbus RTU slave through serials S1 and S2 and it is a
gateway on IP net among Master Devices (support ModBus TCP/IP client) and data from modbus
RTU slaves
8. Z-GPRS2
FTP client
Using SIM data o internet to transmit log (.*csv format) via FTP or mail
• Z-GPRS2 log data, with a sampling time and sending data programmable by software,
ModBus Slave register sending via FTP on GPRS net (sim data) or via IP (internet
connection) to a server for storing and managing alarms
9. Z-GPRS2
FTP Server
• Z-gprs2 acquires and log data from PLC (it must have a modbus rtu slave port) and it
saves them on SD card (storage max 32 Gbyte)
• If a Z-GPRS2 is connected to an internal IP net every PC/server (using FTP protocol) can
read and acquire these data (protected by user name and password)
