18. Meeting Concierge Duties
• Attend Pre-Convention Meetings to
introduce the service managers and
hotel directors
• Directly assist with On-site contacts for
meeting groups and hotel patrons (group
or transient)
• Check event space after set up and
confirm set ups with on site contact
• Daily walkthrough of the hotel grounds
and event space
• Package reviews and arrange for
outbound shipments
• Work with guest services staff in
assuring positive guest service with all
group guests

Captain's assisting throughout the
event times
• Upsell Hotel Restaurants – make
reservations for small groups
• Meet every client before their meeting
begins. Special attention to small
groups.
• Obtain information from hotel
concierge for clients
• Stay in communication with
Catering/CS Manager about client
related issues

Reception, which also hosts our famous New
England Clambakes

essential in the set up, during and
breakdown of every event
• The customer isn’t always right, never
break the rules if it doesn’t help every
guest involved
• Communication is key, without it
nothing works
