Support and Guidance 7
1. Produce graphs and charts of your TAR.
2. Analyse your TAR using slide 12 of the Powerpoint.
3. Do you need to conduct any further TAR using fans of your specific sub-
   genre? If so, do this asking questions related specifically to the sub-
   genre (eg Goth Rock as opposed to Rock).
4. Produced storyboards for your video.
5. Produce a draft of your digipack.
6. Produce a draft of your advert.
7. Animate your storyboard (http://animoto.com ??)
8. Gather TAF for all three artefacts. Blog it. Video a pitch? Photographs
   of consumers looking / watching? MULTIMEDIA = WIN.
9. DIRECTOR’S PITCH: this is a detailed proposal of what you are going to
   produce for your Media Studies Advanced Portfolio. You must pitch
   each product and use detailed evidence drawn from your TAR, TAF,
   deconstructions and personal knowledge to justify your video, digipack
   and advert. Are you challenging forms within the genre – if so, why?

   DO NOT write an essay. Think multimedia: an interview interspersed
   with stills from videos / adverts / digipacks deconstructed. Use sound
   bites from your vox pops. Close detailed use of you research is essential
   here to justify every single choice. Bear in mind that the moderator felt
   the weakest videos last year did not look like music videos. Justify any
   unusual choices with an example of a similar product.

   Are you amplifying the lyrics? Show the lyrics to support this. Are you
   contradicting the lyrics? Show the lyrics to support this. Are you using
   the lyrics as a jumping off point but applying your own interpretations?
