Overview
In this presentation, we will present about
problems connected to drought, beneficiaries,
which means the benefits of drought, Sudan and
Senegal which is two of the countries affected
by drought, and the solution of the problem of
drought.
What is Drought?
Drought is a weather-related natural disaster. It affects vast regions for
months or years. It has an impact on food production and it reduces life
expectancy and the economic performance of large regions or entire
countries. Its impact results from the relation between a natural event and
demands on the water supply. It occurs in virtually all-climatic zones, and its
characteristic varies significantly among regions. Drought differs from
aridity is a permanent characteristic of regions with low rainfall. Drought is
also related to the timing of precipitation. Other climatic factors such as
high temperature, high wind, and low relative humidity are often associated
                                 with drought.
Who benefits?
 - Economy & Sellers

The less quantity of the grown crops in Senegal the higher the prices will be. This means the
sellers will make more money but unfortunately the community cannot afford the item and so they
suffer from Malnutrition and hunger.

 - Farmers on another country

Some of the main crops that also grow in another country could sell their Crops more expensive
than usual, and if the water supply runs out to grow the crops in Senegal, the crops in Senegal will
be extremely rare and it could also makes the item really valuable .

 - The water suppliers

Rich peoples that have water in Senegal and sells it to the residence of Senegal, because the
drought is destroying the supplies in the lakes, the price that is given to the residence of the
Senegal is an extremely high price for a water supply, and so that the people that have no money
will be sick or die in lack of water and hygiene.

 - Enemy Troops

If Senegal is stuck in a middle of a war and Senegal is running out of water, Senegal will lose the
war, Just like the “Horns of Hattin,” the Senegal’s troops will run out of water and will have no
energy and stamina to won the war, so conquering Senegal is easier than stealing a candy from a
baby.
Geographical Location
                   The geographical location of Sudan:
                       - Sudan is located at Africa
  - Sudan is surrounded by Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central African Republic,
Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Eritrea, and the red sea.

                   The geographical location of Senegal:
                       - Senegal is located at Africa
  - Senegal is surrounded by Mauritania, Mali, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and
                              Atlantic ocean.
Current Affairs
Now, drought is still a problem in developing
countries like Sudan and Senegal. People still have
to stay in dry place an experience water shortages
because they can’t go back to their previous home
because of problems like wars and dams.
Causes
Because of drought, and the water dries because
of the sunlight. The residence have no more
water to grow crops and to drink for the
villagers. It really affects the environment
around the place that has no water to drink
because of drought.
Problem
Drought Affects problems, such as: Water, The
Residences Daily lives, Food and even the world
Economy. Drought dries water by using its cruel
sun rays to dry the lakes and rivers by boiling
them all to steam.
Solution
    - The government should build water pipe to
distribute the clean water to the poor area.
     - Plant more trees to keep the clean water.
- Build a big dam to save water in the rainy season,
and can be used at the dry season.
Conclusion
The conclusion is that Drought is a weather-related
natural disaster that could go for months or years.
Many people still experience drought. Drought is a
problem to most of the people. But, there are some
people that get benefits out of drought. The people
that are facing the problems of drought are now
coming up with solutions to overcome the problem
of drought.
