General anaesthesia for dental treatment
under the age of 14 years is insured in
Saskatchewan
general anaesthesia is administered to
almost 1,800 children under the age of five
year for dental treatment in the hospitals
Waitlist has decreased dramatically

Dental Health Education Program

Enhanced Preventive Dental Services Initiative

24. - Program cost $ 1,553,000
- In 2005, there were 19 dental health educators
and 10 dental therapist
under the DHEP
- Dental services provided under this program
include disease prevention, oral health
promotion, fluoride mouth rinse and fluoride
varnish.

surgery by increasing access to dental care,
prevention and education."
