and audience’s of the Urban genre are very
similar. They are generally the same age,
gender, ethnicity, socio-economic group (or
at least at the beginning, as successful
urban artists generally make lots of money,
so will become of a higher socio-economic
group). I used this information in my music
magazine by ensuring the artist’s are ‘real’
and similar to the audience. This ensures
that the audience can relate to the artists.
