Saint Patrick: According to the legend…
Saint Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland. This is still true today, you will not find any snakes in Ireland. He used the shamrock or clover to explain his message to the people of Ireland. It is said on his way to see the king, he was to be ambushed and killed, but when he passed the men only saw a deer and fawns following.  This part of the legend is known as The Deer’s Cry.
Why did he use the shamrock? He used the shamrock to describe the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was trying to spread Christianity and get rid of Pagan beliefs.
Four-Leaf Clovers? There is one four leaf clover to every 10,000 regular 3 leaf clovers.
What does the Four-Leaf Clover stand for? The first leaf stands for hope. The second leaf stands for faith. The third leaf stands for love. The fourth leaf stands for luck.
