This document provides an analysis of three music videos: 1) "Sexy Chick" by David Guetta ft. Akon shows scantily clad women dancing to lyrics about attractive girls. It aims to appeal to a young male audience. 2) "Heartless" by Kanye West is animated, telling a story through visuals of a broken relationship. 3) "Get Shakey" by The Ian Carey Project depicts school children dancing after class to match lyrics about dancing after school. It has an upbeat, quick editing pace fitting its dance genre.

8. Kanye West - Heartless Here are a couple of screen grabs just to show you some of the effects that have been used when creating this video in order to make it look like an animation.

9. Kanye West - Heartless The narrative and performance of this video is really good as you can see that he is trying to tell a story as you watch the video as it is as if you are watching a cartoon. Having a music video like this allows the viewer to have more access to the performer than a live performance would.

Kanye West - Heartless This video has a narrative as he is singing about a girl that has broke his heart and how she was heartless and when watching the video there are girls all around him but he just walks past them without a second look. This also relates to the lyrics of the song and so therefore also makes it easier for the viewer to understand.

11. Kanye West - Heartless These are just some of the girls in which he walks past as he only wants one girl and none of these other ones seem to compare or matter to him.

12. The Ian Carey Project – Get Shakey This video relates to the lyrics of the songs as is says “Baby get shaky after school” and in the video it is a group of kids that all start off in a lesson and then when it ends they are all outside in there uniforms dancing.

14. The Ian Carey Project – Get Shakey This song fits into the dance genre when trying to categorise it. As this is the genre of the song it is upbeat and the editing is also quick paced. In this video is seems like there is a boys vs. girls dance battle going on as well as them all dancing to the music together and this also fits to the lyrics of the song.

15. The Ian Carey Project – Get Shakey Here we see both a boy and a girl dancing and it seems like they are having a dance off.
