Teradata Columnar is a new database design technique that stores data in both row and column formats for hybrid performance benefits. It provides extreme performance through column partition elimination and compression. Data is automatically compressed up to 10x through various compression mechanisms. Teradata Columnar is easy to use and integrated with existing Teradata capabilities, allowing both transactional and analytical workloads to benefit from columnar storage.
