 'Sixth-Sense' is a wearable gestural interface
 It augments the physical world around us with
digital information and lets us use natural hand
gestures to interact with that information.
 It can project information on any surface, be it a
wall, table or any other object and uses hand / arm
movements to help us interact with the projected
  information.

   MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 3
 Pranav Mistry, 28 year old, a PhD student at MIT of
Indian origin is the mastermind behind of sixth sense
  technology.
 He invented „ Sixth Sense / WUW ( Wear UR World) in
 2009.

    MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 4
 A Pocket Projector
Projects visual information to interfaces like wall

 A Camera
Tracks user hand gestures.

Colour Markers
Colour Markers are used as mouse pointer.

Laptop/Mobile
Are used to store data.

    MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 5
 In Sixth-Sense the Projector are  This input is then processed by
used to create a virtual display the mobile and the resulting

  content and interact with the
computer using natural touch  “The software program

different types of menus and colored markers [that you wear
objects such as fingers, tagged on your fingers] using simple
  items and shapes. computer-vision techniques”

     MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 6
Take Pictures.
Playing Games
Watch Movies
Comparison b/w books and their price and also know about
  the rating of that book.
Check the status of your Airplane Ticket
You can also watch videos related to article on newspaper.

   MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 7
Sixth Sense allows people to use the internet
without a Screen , Keyboard and Mouse.

MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 8
It is also able to recognize OBJECT S and
BOOKS (based on an image or RFID) in a book
store and then project reader reviews or author
information from the Internet onto blank pages.”

MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 9
Know the status of ticket…
Another amazing feature is the device‟s ability to
look at an airplane ticket and let the user know
whether the flight is delayed or on time.

 MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 10
Read Latest News …
“The device can also recognize articles in newspapers,
retrieve the latest related stories or video from the
Internet and then display them on pages for the user.
Say goodbye to your dictionary and encyclopedia.”

 MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 11

 $350 dollars ( Approx.-- 15,600)
 The interesting thing here is that Sixth
Sense can never really be more expensive
  than its individual components

MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 18
 Sixth Sense will give new meaning to “looking
  something up.”
 I believe Sixth Sense‟s purpose would be to
allow students and teachers to interact with
information on a level not experienced before.
 In my opinion, at least initially, its purpose
  would be to motivate…motivate…motivate…

MOHAMMAD SAEED KHAN 28-01-2012 19
