IS TO REPRESENT, LEAD AND SERVE
                   THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY.

Aviation is a wonderful industry. It
helps create $3.5 trillion worth of
business and supports over 33 million
                                  jobs in today’s globalized economy.
                                  These jobs provide challenging
career openings in an industry that
is a generator of prosperity - both
material and of the human spirit.

Well trained, knowledgeable and talented people are the cornerstone of our business.
Aviation was built with the skills of people who were passionate about connecting the
world. The globalized economy that aviation has helped to build has created a dynamic
operating environment. To thrive, airline managements and individual airline professionals
must make the right investment decisions continuously to build and reinforce relevant skills
and knowledge.

IATA’s Training and Development Institute is focused on meeting the air transport industry’s
need for flexible, high-quality training. As the industry’s global association we have an
unparalleled track record in expert training in all critical areas of the aviation business.
Moreover, we have partnered with some of the world’s leading educational establishments
to augment our general management offerings and ensure that courses are delivered
with the latest learning techniques. Comprising the widest possible range of course
material with a strong geographical and cultural reach, ITDI training provides rewarding
opportunities for every aviation professional.

The IATA team looks forward to helping businesses and professionals build stronger career
opportunities in the world’s most exciting industry.

Diploma Programs
In these difficult economic times it is becoming increasingly important
to differentiate one-self, resulting in an ever more specialized global
marketplace. Earning a diploma in your respective industry segment will
set you apart from the competition as a recognized specialist, increase
your efficacy, and keep you on top of the latest techniques and
developments in your area of specialization.
ITDI offers a wide range of diplomas covering all segments of the aviation industry. While any course
may be taken on a stand-alone basis, we encourage participants to select a program leading to an IATA
diploma. It is not necessary to commit to a diploma program at the outset. However, the earlier a diploma
program is selected, the sooner IATA can work with you or your employees to help further professional
development.

SPECIALIZATIONS
Air Navigation
     Services
Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) are not only responsible for providing safe, efficient and
cost effective air navigation services to airspace users in compliance with state regulations, but also
for managing high performance businesses. Whether providing air traffic management, Aeronautical
Information Services (AIS), Search and Rescue (SAR) services, meteorological services or
Communications, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) services, performance standards expectations are high.
Increasingly, there is competition between ANSPs and pressure to improve safety and services, reduce
costs and work in close coordination with airlines, neighboring states and other stakeholders. The IATA
Air Navigation Services training portfolio focuses on business management, air traffic management, AIS,
     safety, technology and change management.

Airport
IATA Airport training programs cover every aspect of the sector: Airport Planning, Design, Management
and Operations; and our professional courses provide valuable information in the form of widely
acceptable business practices concerning the demand and viability of an airport master plan, either for the
development of existing airports or future facilities. In fact all IATA Airport courses analyze facility system
design requirements and technical infrastructure in addition to certification of runways, airside and airport
     terminals.

Modern airports are complex businesses that require a high level of investment and sophisticated
management within an international environment. IATA Airport management courses offer participants a
strong basis by which to sustain their businesses, while remaining efficient and profitable in a competitive
     environment.

Airports are an integral part of the air transport system where safety, security, the facilitation of
passengers, and freight are primary targets. Specialized courses surrounding airport operations, safety
and security in terminals, and airside offer practical knowledge concerning meeting global standards and
providing methods on how to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operations.

Civil Aviation Management
     and Safety
The Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) of the world are responsible for the oversight and regulation of civil
aviation with a focus on air safety, security, airspace policy, economic regulation, efficiency, sustainability,
consumer protection and respect for the environment. A healthy, well-managed civil aviation sector is vital
to the economy of every state and good aviation policy making and regulation support this. Governments
need to be advised by their CAA about aviation issues and provided with important economic and
     statistical data.

IATA is recognized as the world leader in aviation data and information to help you understand air transport
economics, while CAAs are responsible for setting aviation standards and seeing that they are achieved.
Learn how to manage safety, risk, and quality in an integrated manner and put plans in place for all
eventualities in order to efficiently manage incidents, accidents and emergencies.

Fuel and the Environment
For airlines, management of fuel purchasing and supply is vital to the bottom line. Airlines need to know
what steps to take as reserves of fossil fuels diminish, jet fuel prices fluctuate, and taxes are imposed on
     fuel and aircraft emissions.

Environmentally responsible growth is one of the aviation industry’s top priorities. Airlines, civil aviation
authorities, airport operators, air navigation service providers and governments need to work together to
     create a sustainable aviation industry.
