This is a short presentation given at University of Texas-Arlington meant to introduce the read/write web to Texas educators faced with living up to the challenges of the 2006-2020 Long Range Plan for Technology.
2. Mustang - classic, is a reliable car with minor maintenance, requires me to control its major components regularly (adjust the carb, remember to change the oil/filter/other fluids), fairly dependable, looks good on the surface, lacks efficiency
3. Chrysler 300 - technology added, but it is still a car; I am learning from this car, maintains semblance of a classic but is much more reliable and offers a more consistent, reliable product, I know I can get from point A to B without issues.
4. Car engine = teacher running classrooms air=environment fuel=professional development spark=dynamic, encouraged teachers willing to take advantage of what is offered You’ve got the car. It is illegal to just sit in the car on the highway; don’t do that with your classroom.
