1. Giving a technical presentation This article is written about writing presentation. This article is very important for us. We have a lot of chances to write presentation in the future. We must learn about it. We require comprehensive knowledge about presentation. This article does briefly note a few problems.
2. Introduction There are many good references reading how to give an effective presentation. It is to see the reactions of others and get their ideas and advice.
3. The content You need to convince the audience that the research is worthwhile (is useful, solves a real problem), that it is hard (not already solved, and there are not other ways to achieve equally good results), and that you have solved it.
4. The slides Good slides should be used descriptive slide titles. Using the same title on multiple slides is good slides. Leave your conclusion slide up after you finish the talk.
5. The presentation Make eye contact with the audience. This draws them in and lets you know whether you are going too fast, too slow, or just right. Similarly, being animated is good, but do not pace.
6. Answering questions When an audience member asks a question, it is a good idea to repeat the question. This has three benefits. One benefit is you ensure that you have understood the question. Two benefit is You give yourself a few moments to think about your answer. Three benefit is If the audience member does not have a microphone, the rest of the audience may not have been able to hear the question clearly.
7. Practice talks When giving a practice talk, number your slides (say, in the corner), even if you don't intend to include slide numbers in your final presentation.
