Sony reformed its organizational  structure. In order to bolster profitability and transform its operations. Include the aim that accelerating innovation and growth and optimizing business processes, particularly within its electronics and networked service businesses in April of this year.
As a Consequence.  As a result, approximately 80 percent of Sony's targeted 330 billion yen of group-wide cost reduce for the current fiscal year end of the March 31, 2010 compared to the previous fiscal year have been achieved in the first half of the fiscal year.
Furthermore. Now, Sony is positioned to launch a succession of competitive products from the end of this year. This is also means that Sony become a quick, leaner organization which is more responsive to the market.
Sony implements. In order to permit more growth and continue to enhance profitability, Sony  implements additional transformation measures centering on the following four initiatives.
Four initiatives. 2, Provide user experience integrating innovative hardware, software and services. 1, Target consistent profitability in core hardware businesses. (TV, game and digital imaging)
Four initiatives. 3, Reach out to new customers and develop new geographic markets. 4, Increase Sony’s focus on environmentally conscious products and processes.
Target consistent profitability in core hardware businesses.  - Target return the LCD TV business to profitability in the end of year March 31, 2011. - Create a new revenue model beyond conventional TV business models.
Provide user experience integrating innovative hardware, software and services. Target annual revenues of 300 billion yen from networked service business by the end of the year ending March 31, 2013.
