This is a presentation of my 2010 and 2011 completed courses that explains how the 8 graduate attributes are embedded in these courses by presenting the course descriptions.
2. My Courses The courses that I have completed at CQUniversity have embedded in them the 8 graduate attributes deemed as the desired professional skills of a 21st century employee. The descriptions of some of the courses are courtesy of CQUniversity Moodle site.
17. Visual learning and innovation The Visual Arts require the need to look carefully, to think, to feel, to experiment, express and to reflect. They require you to apply yourself, question yourself, to learn from the work and wisdom of others and test out new strategies and ideas (CQU, 2010).
18. Science curriculum and pedagogy This course examines the issues related to science education and National Curriculum. Statements in Science for Preschool to year 10 requires students to evaluate critically these issues as part of the decision making process in science curriculum. It begins with a focus on aspects of science education that consider the child's role in the learning process. It examines the ideas about the world that children hold, how those ideas may change, and how teachers may facilitate the change process (that is, learning) (CQU, 2010).
19. Managing e.Learning This Course introduces you to the learning possibilities afforded by supporting, enhancing and transforming learning through the use of digital technologies. You explore contemporary learning approaches and analyse the usage of a wide range of educational technologies. Course Learning GoalsDemonstrate creativity in designing digital solutions for learning; Apply theoretical concepts of e-learning to the design of learning experiences; Understand the importance of managing continuing learning with interactive technologies; Create e-learning experiences where learners actively use technology to research, interpret, analyse and communicate knowledge; Enhance capacity to work in teams. ( CQU, 2010)
