This document provides an overview of an ePortfolio project from 2008. It describes the original plan to work with students to understand how to best structure portfolios, but initial student feedback suggested they saw little relevance. There was more interest from staff in developing professional portfolios. The document outlines two professional portfolios that were created, growing interest in ePortfolios, ongoing development and testing of prototypes, and plans to continue working with staff and students to develop personal portfolios in 2008.
4. We wanted to work with BOH students to
understand how they worked with their
material so we could gain insights into the best
way to structure the portfolio.
Our Initial Approach
5. Our First Misconception
We had assumed that
students would see the
relevance of learning how
to develop a portfolio.
Student feedback suggested
they saw no real point in
spending time on this and
that it created pressure on
an already busy workload.
6. We did find interest
was high with staff
involved in developing
their professional
portfolios
Staff Interest
