What
Today, we’re going to talk about an interesting place. That is pai mae hong
son situated in North of Thailand.
Why
This Pai will be important to you because a place of comfort, I like the cold
weather this winter because of the cold weather and the beautiful river mist.
Overview
I am going to talk about five points.
First, we will tell you about the way to get there.
Second, we will tell you about place to interest.
Third, we will tell you about interesting activities.
Forth, we will tell about accommodation.
Fifth, we will tell you about foods.
How to get there
By Car
You can drive your car from Bangkok to Mae Hong Son
which the total distance is about 926 kilometer.
By Bus
You can take the daily air-conditioned or ordinary bus
from the Bangkok Northern Bus Terminal or Mo Chit 2 to
Mae Hong Son. The journey takes 14 hours.

2. By Air
The Bangkok Airways operates daily flights from Bangkok to Mae
Hong Son. The
flight takes 35 minutes. And also has service directly
from Chiang Mai to Pai by Kan Airlines only. The flight
takes about 25 minutes. The sightseeing experience of
flying at 9000 feet over the mountains.
Place to interest
Tha Pai World War II Memorial Bridge
Pai Memorial Bridge built in World War two. On Wed.
Founded in 2485 as the Japanese power in Thailand.
Japanese soldiers used Pai. As a transportation route
from Chiang Mai to Myanmar. A historic bridge in tha Pai.
Similar to the bridge over the River Kwai.
Ban Rak Thai
This village is situated 44 kim from Mae Hong Son via
Pha Suea Waterfall near the Thai-Myanmar border.
Founded by Kuomintang Chinese soldiers, the village is
famous for its breathtaking views and tea cultivation.
Visitors can see how the tea is grown and harvested and
taste some delicious U-long tea. An annual Tea Tasting
Festival is held at Ban Rak Thai in February.
Tha Pai Hot Springs
are one of the focal points of Huai Nam Dang National
Park, in Mae Hong Son province, 8 kilometres south of
Pai. The springs offer a number of bathtubs for visitors to

3. bathe in, and it is also possible to bathe in the stream
that runs through the site. The water from these springs
is said to have strong therapeutic value.
Wat Nam Hu ( วัดนำ้ำฮู ) Wat Nam Hu is about 3 kilometers
from Pai Market contain a sacred Chiang Saen Buddha
image, 24 inches wide at the base and 30 inches high.
The image's topknot can be opened and contained holy
water, revered by local folk.
Interesting Activities
Elephant Riding
The tourists who prefer to ride on the elephant to admire
the nature along the mountains and stream can take
about 1 hour to enter this enjoyable activity. The
elephant will bring you walk slowly down into the forest
to make you be able to feel closely to the nature.
Trekking & Biking
Getting off the beaten track is always rewarding,
particularly in northern Thailand where travel by foot,
elephant back, mountain bikes, four wheel drive vehicles
or river rafts brings the visitor into closer contact with
rural rhythms and local inhabitants, be they Thai farmers
or hill tribes people occupying their own high altitude
settlements.
Dining & Shopping
The tourists who enjoy shopping in the blood, there are a
lot of interesting souvenirs in Mae Hong Son to afford
your eagerness such as lacquer ware, Gems, silver
ornaments, hill tribe clothes, handicrafts, wood carving,
etc. There still are many restaurants which you can find
the exotic taste of local food.
Salween River Cruises

4. Boat Trip along the Salween River. by using the longtailed boat for sightseeing, including with the way of life
of both Thai and Shan along the river banks.
Pai River Rafting
Bamboo Rafting along the Pai River. The tourists who love
in rafting, the Pai River is one of the rivers that will make
you feel pleasant in rafting by a bamboo raft along the
river among the beautiful nature in the calm forest.
Accommedation
