will it effect the temperature of the

9. Question
What will happen if ice bergs melt,
will it effect the temperature of the
sea water and the air on the planet?
Aim
To see if the temperature of the water
and air changes as the ice melts(according
to the amount of ice).

To see if the temperature of the water
and air changes as the ice melts(according
to the amount of ice).
21. Materials
6 ice cubes,
2 thermometers,
6 cups of sea water,
watch,
tin foil to cover the top,
3 ice cream containers.
22.
23. Method
1.) Put one ice cube in a ice cream container and fill it up with 2
cups of sea water.
2. Cover it up with tin foil and put 2 thermometers throw the tin
foil.
3. Write the temperature according to time and write the
temperature after every minute(time it until 10 minutes).
4. Follow these steps and just change the number of ice cubes(2
for the next one and 3 for the last one).
5. You have finished the experiment.

70. Independent
The thing that I changed is the number of ice cubes in each ice cream
container.
Dependent
In the test I measured temperature over time in the container.
Control
The things that I controlled in the test are water, time and place,
container and the size of the ice cubes.

75. We have learnt that if the ice berg melt the
temperature will go down of water and air. My
hypothesis was right about the temperature going
down. In my group we had really close results. The
results do not surprise me because my hypothesis was
right therefore I knew this will happen. The research
shows that the temperature of the earth will fall.

78. This experiment shows that if the ice bergs melt
the global temperature will fall and it will get
really cold outside. It does relate to the central
idea, sharing the planet because we are sharing a
planet and some animals do not like cold
temperatures and they do not want this to
happen. From this experiment it seems that if
the ice bergs melt the global temperatures will
fall.
