Review and discuss the suggested pacing
guide in lights of the CCSCOS, power
standards...
For each unit:
− check objectives, EQ and assessment first
for alignment. Modify if necessary. Become
familiar with WHAT we will teach
− Calendar objectives in the template
− Explore, share and discuss resources to
teach the objectives. Add to unit plan
− Discuss potential writing activities and
projects
− Check back pacing guide: Still make sense?

Day 1: By the end of the first day we will have
finalized at least the first 3 units of the year
and the first 3 assessments (Christmas!!!!)
Day 2: By the end of the second day, we will
have the year mapped out, our units planned
and our major assessments finalized (Can you
imagine how much time we will save!)
