2. This is a very important feature for first time users of
Prezi. This takes you through the steps on how to start
and how to advance and use the other features that Prezi
offers.

3. These are a great resource to help remind new users what
to do or how to do something else. There are also videos
for the visual learners out there! Available in all 3
sections.

4. One of the best features is being able to upload a previous
PPT or other previously saved work. Then you can
manipulate it within the boundaries of Prezi.

5. Frames allow you to change the border around the
information blocks.

7. These are the featured new tools that are available to
Prezi users. If you click on the “learn” tab at the top,
click on the manual, and then knowledge base. This will
take you to the features offered section. When you click
on a particular item, it will give the user a step-by-step
instruction on how to incorporate that feature into your

9. This tab allows the user to search for Prezis that have
already been completed.

10. At the bottom of this image, it gives other ways to contact
and get help when using Prezi.

11.  Teachers would use Prezi to provide interactive and
scaffolded learning opportunities for students at all
ability levels.
 Professional development trainers could use Prezi to
make presentations to teachers more interesting and
interactive for group learning.
 Administrators could use it for planning meetings
and strategy sessions to get all those on staff involved
in the development of various school plans.
 Students would use it to create study aids,
multimedia projects, and original presentations to
demonstrate mastery of content.

 Group licensing is priced at $192 per end user.
 Both education accounts give you the ability to make
your Prezis private.

15. Using Web 2.0 to Support the
Active Learning Experience
 In their article on the importance of Web 2.0
technologies in education, Williams and
Chinn emphasize:
 Today’s students are part of the “net
generation” and need Web 2.0 technologies
(like Prezi) to keep them engaged.
 The use of Web 2.0 technologies with students
increases active students engagement,
therefore, increasing student achievement.

16. Using Web 2.0 to Support the
Active Learning Experience
 Other conclusions from Williams and Chinn’s research
include:
 Many students already posses Web 2.0 technologies skill
sets and their ability to rely on prior skills leads to active
learning environments.
 Student evaluations showed that students felt the use of
Web 2.0 technologies in their classes helped them engage in
meaningful learning.
