6. FORMATION OF SADCC SADC countries faced several challenges Most of these challenges could not be tackled by individual countries The sustainable development was threatened by various factors The need of co-operation and integration SADCC was launched in 1980
7. SADCC TO SADC SADCC needed strengthening Struggle against colonialism in the region ended in 1990 In August 1992 `SADCC` transformed into `SADC` Its purpose was to promote deeper economic co-operation and integration
