Have you ever watched a movie and in the course of the film, it bothered you that there was a stain or a smudge in the screen? And you can't help but be distracted because of it.
Since you want to concentrate clearly, you make an effort to wipe the smudge in the screen... only to find out that it's still there and it cannot be removed.
Because the thing that is really dirty is not on the screen, but on the projector. It's the same thing with ourselves and how we see things.
You cannot change the outside, unless you change what's on the inside. You can't expect to change your present life situation or improve on it, unless you develop the right habits, and develop it consistently on a daily basis.
And that's what we're going to talk about this time. Using The Paradigm to Success in developing the right habits on a daily basis with regards to your core goals, and achieving what you want out of life. And making sure that all these things are aligned.
Hopefully by now, you already have laid down your core goals in life. It's now time to make them a habit and a daily routine. If you are familiar with the Pareto Principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, it states that for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.
Correlating that to ourselves, it is said that 80% of our productivity on a day-to-day basis is a result of 20% on how we start our day. Therefore it is critical that the activities that we do from the moment we wake up are focused with one's core goals.
For example, every morning upon waking up you can start by praying and reading God's Word, devoting quality time with Him. Further on, you can thank God for your family and make sure they feel that you appreciate them by briefly spending quality time with them and assuring them that they are one of your top priorities.
Next is taking care of your health. It is said that there is still no subsitute for exercise or physical activity. The amount one needs depends from person to person, as well as the kind of exercise... but the point is becoming physically fit and maintaining it is important. One good thing a proper exercise and dietdoes is it energizes you and gets you in the mood for the day.. especially for something like working on the tasks that you need to do for the day (which, should be all aligned to the steps, plan and goal you have set). This can be represented by your finances as this is normally the outcome of productive labour.
And lastly, service or giving acts of kindness and goodwill towards others. This can be done by actively supporting a charitable organization, committing to support missionaries or your local church, and many other alternatives. Remember, that it's not just the giving of one's money or treasure that counts here. But also the giving of one's talents and time. Volunteer to teach a class if you can. Take time to visit other people and become a good friend to them. When you give value to others, surprisingly you end up giving value to yourself as well.
Taking a step back, I'm sure you would agree that all these are but simple things. Simple, yet often neglected and misaligned in one's life. And that's where The Paradigm to Success comes into play. It helps you change your habits one day at a time and in the process, change your life.
Let me say that change is never easy. Researchers and psychologists said that it takes at least 40 days of practicing one habit, before it becomes a natural thing in you. Repetition is the master of learning... and it is key if you are to break free from the wrong habits, wrong beliefs and a wrong conformity mindset.
The Paradigm to Success focuses on coming up with a goal, a plan and the right attitude in achieving it. On the outside, implementing it looks simple, but to be frank it is not easy. Factors like discipline and determination are also needed. But more importantly, an awareness of the bigger picture - why you are doing what you are doing... will help you greatly in your commitment to change and improve on your daily habits.
