28. As we say goodbye to Grey
Presbytery and celebrate the work of
Grey Presbytery and the churches
within, from 1925 to 2009 and look
ahead to working together as part of
Northern Waters Presbytery, we
can reflect on the thoughts of Revs.
C. Elmer Kenny and P. T. Pilkey
spoken at the first Grey Presbytery
meeting at Knox United Owen Sound
on September 15, 1925 ---
29. Rev. C. Elmer Kenny, “suggested
that they would come together
with candor and with courage,
that they might think together for
the good of all and he was sure
that they would have a happy
time together.”
30. Rev. P. T. Pilkey trusted that “all
would exercise the greatest
patience with each other. He
hoped they would forget their self-
interest in their desire to promote
the best interests of the whole
Presbytery”
