Exercise presentation for MOOC of
Design Thinking Action Lab
By Leticia Britos Cavagnaro, Stanford University
Graphic representation of the process
proposed to solve the problem
3. Empathy (1)
Who is my consumer? – The school.
Why does the school want to change the design
of the lockers? Apparently, students are
unhappy.
I cannot address my favorite questions to
anybody, so I have to examine the picture of
students using the lockers and to transfer my
empathy to them.
4. Empathy (2)
Why they are dissatisfied? - Lockers are located
very closely, neighbors push me, they can look
into my locker, and I do not want this.
14. Ideation (3)
We divide all lockers in blocks of two lockers
with doors oriented in opposite directions and
put each block on wheels.
It is quite simple to use the locker 1. To use the
locker 2, one have to roll back the block from
the wall and deploy it on 180 degrees
