Light is a type of energy that we can see and is made up of many colors. It travels in straight lines and allows us to see objects when it falls on a surface and reflects back to our eyes. Rainbows are formed when light passes through water drops in the air and is divided into the seven colors, and prisms work in a similar way by dividing light into colors when it passes through.
