Andy Heyward
Andy Heyward is a multi-Emmy
winning producer of children’s
entertainment, who has made more
episodes of kids television than any
other producer. As former Chairman
and CEO of DIC Entertainment,
and now Co-President and CEO
of A Squared, he has produced
over 5,000 episodes of award-
winning children’s programs, most
of which are household names. Some of Andy’s
past work includes Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget,
Strawberry Shortcake, Alvin and the Chipmunks,
Care Bears, Super Mario Brothers, Hello Kitty, Sonic
the Hedgehog, Captain Planet, G.I. Joe, Madeline,
Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Liberty’s Kids, Carmen
Sandiego, the Archies and dozens more. Andy has
had numerous industry recognitions, including 2
Emmys, 9 Emmy nominations, 2 Humanitas Awards,
2 Cable Ace Awards, 5 Golden Reel Awards, 3
Environmental Media Awards, 1 New York Television
Festival Award and a National Education Association
Award among others.
Amy Moynihan Heyward
Amy is a brand-creation
executive who has spent
more than 20 years creating,
managing and launching
some of the most valuable
brands in the world. As one
of the original members of
Disney Cruise Line, she was
an integral part of the creation
of this successful Disney
business. As Director of Global Marketing
for McDonald’s, she helped to grow its
young adult business while managing brand
consistency among cultures and countries.
Earlier in her career, she was responsible for
sponsorships and promotions for Hasbro Toys,
and a part of the launch of a new theme park,
a many new rides and attractions for Universal
Studios Florida. Prior to creating A2 with Andy,
she was VP of Marketing at the Los Angeles
Times.

Greg Payne, Legal
Gregory Payne, a graduate of Dartmouth College
and Stanford Law School, spent 10 years in
corporate law on Wall Street with the New York
law firm of Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine
and in Washington D.C. with McKenna Conner
& Cuneo. Leaving the East Coast in 1986, Greg
took a position with then-small animation
producer DIC where he rose to Executive Vice
President of Legal and Business Affairs. Greg
oversaw all Legal, Administration, Music and
Operations matters for the studio. Leaving DIC
in 1999 to set up his own private legal practice,
he specialized in entertainment and corporate
law with clients such as DIC, Cartoon Network,
The Gotham Group, Nippon TV, Production I.G.
Ltd, ReelFX Inc., Technicolor Digital Productions,
Aniplex, Ltd, Dimensional Branding Group,
among others. Greg’s experience spans from
negotiating production and talent agreements
to labor relations, corporate mergers and
acquisitions and real estate matters.
Matthew Kornberg, Finance
Kornberg joins Genius Brands International from
BDO USA, where he served as an assurance
associate. In that capacity, Kornberg was
responsible for detailed testing, analytical
analysis, and financial statement preparation
for clients across varied industries. He also
handled VC valuation models,stock and debt
issuance, international financial statement
consolidation, quarterly and annual reports of
Issuers, internal control designand testing, and
employee benefit plans. Previously, Kornberg
held various positions in Finance and Business
Development with such companies as InTheMO.
com Interactive Marketing, The Ozurovich Group,
Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, Ticketmaster
Entertainment and Overbrook Entertainment.
Kornberg earned his Master’s degree in
Professional Accounting from the University of
Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business
after completing his undergraduate degree in
Economics at University of Southern California.

Management Profile
Mark Young, Production
Mark Young is an Emmy winning producer, director,
and writer. Mark previously was Executive Producer
at MGM Animation, responsible for story editing 48
half-hours of the syndicated series The Pink Panther,
co-writing and producing the theatrical All Dogs Go
To Heaven II, developing the home video feature
Babes in Toyland, as well as a range of live action
specials, series and direct-to-video features. Before
MGM, Mark worked as Senior Vice President of
Development and Programming, story editor and
writer at Hanna-Barbara where he worked on series
including The Jetsons, Jonny Quest, The Addams
Family, as well as the Emmy Award-winning animated
primetime special The Halloween Tree.
Mike Maliani, Production
Mike Maliani oversees all creative development and
production endeavors at Genius Brands. Prior to that,
Mike was Chief Creative Officer for DIC responsible
for all creative work, including design, development,
production, writing, talent, music, programming, and
advertising. Mike previously worked with Disney,
Marvel, Hanna Barbara, and Warner Bros animation
in various production capacities. He is the recipient
of numerous industry recognitions, including Emmy
awards, Cable ACE Awards, Golden Reels, Humanitas
and Environmental Media Awards.
Eunice Ahn, Creative Director
Eunice Ahn brings 14 years of graphic design
experience to her position as Creative Director.
While working for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace,
she designed numerous marketing materials and
managed airline customer relationships in Europe.
She was also an Art Director for a graphic novel
series. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration
from the University of Michigan Stephen Ross
Business School.
Mike Medlock, Business Affairs
Mike Medlock has pursued a twin career path for
more than 25 years. In the corporate world, he’s
worked in Business Affairs at DIC Entertainment,
Cookie Jar Entertainment and now Genius Brands.
In the creative world, he’s an Emmy-nominated
producer and award-winning videographer/
editor, as well as a computer animator and special
effects artist, and he has writing credits ranging
from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” to animated
series such as “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command,”
“Disney’s Hercules” and “Where on Earth is Carmen
Sandiego?”

As former Chairman and CEO of DIC Entertainment, and now Co-President and CEO of A Squared, he has produced over 5,000 episodes of award- winning children’s programs, most of which are household names. Some of Andy’s past work includes Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget, Strawberry Shortcake, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Care Bears, Super Mario Brothers, Hello Kitty, Sonic the Hedgehog, Captain Planet, G.I. Joe, Madeline, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Liberty’s Kids, Carmen Sandiego, the Archies and dozens more. Leaving the East Coast in 1986, Greg took a position with then-small animation producer DIC where he rose to Executive Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs. Greg oversaw all Legal, Administration, Music and Operations matters for the studio. Leaving DIC in 1999 to set up his own private legal practice, he specialized in entertainment and corporate law with clients such as DIC, Cartoon Network, The Gotham Group, Nippon TV, Production I.G. Greg’s experience spans from negotiating production and talent agreements to labor relations, corporate mergers and acquisitions and real estate matters. Matthew Kornberg, Finance Kornberg joins Genius Brands International from BDO USA, where he served as an assurance associate. In that capacity, Kornberg was responsible for detailed testing, analytical analysis, and financial statement preparation for clients across varied industries. He also handled VC valuation models,stock and debt issuance, international financial statement consolidation, quarterly and annual reports of Issuers, internal control designand testing, and employee benefit plans. Previously, Kornberg held various positions in Finance and Business Development with such companies as InTheMO. com Interactive Marketing, The Ozurovich Group, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, Ticketmaster Entertainment and Overbrook Entertainment. Kornberg earned his Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business after completing his undergraduate degree in Economics at University of Southern California.

Mark previously was Executive Producer at MGM Animation, responsible for story editing 48 half-hours of the syndicated series The Pink Panther, co-writing and producing the theatrical All Dogs Go To Heaven II, developing the home video feature Babes in Toyland, as well as a range of live action specials, series and direct-to-video features. Before MGM, Mark worked as Senior Vice President of Development and Programming, story editor and writer at Hanna-Barbara where he worked on series including The Jetsons, Jonny Quest, The Addams Family, as well as the Emmy Award-winning animated primetime special The Halloween Tree. Mike Maliani, Production Mike Maliani oversees all creative development and production endeavors at Genius Brands. Prior to that, Mike was Chief Creative Officer for DIC responsible for all creative work, including design, development, production, writing, talent, music, programming, and advertising. Mike previously worked with Disney, Marvel, Hanna Barbara, and Warner Bros animation in various production capacities. He is the recipient of numerous industry recognitions, including Emmy awards, Cable ACE Awards, Golden Reels, Humanitas and Environmental Media Awards. Eunice Ahn, Creative Director Eunice Ahn brings 14 years of graphic design experience to her position as Creative Director. While working for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace, she designed numerous marketing materials and managed airline customer relationships in Europe. She was also an Art Director for a graphic novel series. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Stephen Ross Business School. Mike Medlock, Business Affairs Mike Medlock has pursued a twin career path for more than 25 years. In the corporate world, he’s worked in Business Affairs at DIC Entertainment, Cookie Jar Entertainment and now Genius Brands. In the creative world, he’s an Emmy-nominated producer and award-winning videographer/ editor, as well as a computer animator and special effects artist, and he has writing credits ranging from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” to animated series such as “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command,” “Disney’s Hercules” and “Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?”
