Now that we know the difference between the a church and movement we can look at what makes it move and live\n
As we know a tribe is a crowd with a shared interest and a way to communicate - \n\nThis information is vital because after the break we will talk about the how to do both\n
Your job as a leader is to \ntransform interest into passionate goals\nprovide tools to communicate\nleverage the tribe to grow\n
Five things you can do today to create and sustain a movement- \n
Who are you - what do you believe - why is it important\n
make it easy for your followers to connect with you\n
\n
Money exists to enable the movement - not to benefit from it\n
track your progress and make it public - create pathways for your followers to contribute to that progress. \n
\n
\n
now that we have talked about the concepts of church - lets talk about the tools\n

Before we go any further let me just clear something up - marketing is evangelism - and if you are looking to set your church on fire - let’s get past the terminology and lets look at the fruit. there are a few platforms for igniting that flame\n

The blog is your way of communicating with your people - it is essential \n
\n
\n
FACEBOOK -But more importantly I am talking about using Facebook the right way for your ministry.  Now facebook is one of the most misunderstood evangelism tools I have ever worked with. which is a huge bonus for you because - I am about to make it crystal clear for you.\n
Facebook is awesome for ministry - and a lot of ministries are having huge success with Facebook to reach new people and to engage with their existing congregations.\n
And Facebook is Awesome for You. And because I think it is important for you to understand what fb can do for your ministry, I have put together some videos on everything you need to know about getting started with facebook for your ministry to build and grow your congregations.>>>> \n
this is everything you need to get your ministry started using facebook today\n
Facebook can be a great place to find new members  \nengage existing members\nand also get your members and many times non-members to evangelize for the church to the friends and be happy to do it.\n

Facebook can be a great place to find new members  \nengage existing members\nand also get your members and many times non-members to evangelize for the church to the friends and be happy to do it.\n
the first thing you need to realize about facebook is that there are basically 3 types of pages\n
The Private Profile\n\nThe Group Page\n\nAnd the Public Page (Fan Page, -Like Page, etc)\n
The Private Profile\n\nThe Group Page\n\nAnd the Public Page (Fan Page, -Like Page, etc)\n

Now what you must remember - and it is critical.\n\nPeople have profiles and join groups\nMinistries and businesses have Pages\n\nIt is imperative that you know the differences - because they really determine how facebook works because if you don’t \nit can cause some big headaches as well cause a lot of troubles, but we will talk about that in a minute.\n

So to go a long with that - People have friends\n\nMinistries have fans - just a side note - I know it doesn’t sound right - but stop being deep and let’s work it to our advantage.\n
So to go a long with that - People have friends\n\nMinistries have fans - just a side note - I know it doesn’t sound right - but stop being deep and let’s work it to our advantage.\n
Now facebook has recently changed their terminology - now instead of becoming a fan of your ministry - they just like it. but for the sake of this video I will call them fans because it is a lot easier than saying people who like your ministry.\n
So why so important - well i am glad you asked. this means you can keep your ministry business and your personal business separated.  That way your ministry congregations doesn’t see your holiday photos and your personal friends are not bombarded with your ministry advertisement. that is better for everyone . It is the way that facebook is designed and the way they force you to work.\n
Now for my first warning. Do not Do not setup a personal profile for your ministry - now a lot of people register a personal profile for their ministry. they put their ministry name where they would put a personal name or they create multiple pages when they reach the 5000 limit. Then they go and get friends for their business of which they go and then try to evangelize. \n\nFacebook strictly prohibits this type of behavior and you risk having your account and all of the accounts associated with it being deleted. I know you do not want all of your efforts wasted. The other part is we want to do this decent and in order.\n

Now here is the magic of the facebook page - everytime you post on your page - it posts on the page of all of your “fans” - So when i recorded this - my client “Pastor Jamal Bryant” had over 45000 fans and more importantly he has 33,655 Monthly Active Users - So every time bryant posts to his page - instantly 45k are reached. and it is free. Now imagine this could be a special announcement and event posting, revival, or new series.\n\n

Now you may be thinking - how do I get my page to grow - how do i get that many fans\nthe good thing about it - if you do it right - your page can grow itself - I will show you the basics now and go in depth in a later video. \n\n\n\n
The way that your page grows really boils down -  how a person share a page with their friends-one example all of their friends see the page also.  \n

38% of people said that they would likely become a fan of  a brand that they saw  a family member or close friend “Like”.   All of this happens automatically for free without you having to promote yourself.  Of course you know the more fans you have the more audience you get - that equals more customers and more customers = more converts- all because of what you started for free on Facebook.  You can probably see that your page will start to quickly build up fans - snowball effect\n\n

You want to get word out about your special event or activity but you can’t afford\nto purchase an advertisement in the local paper.Don’t give up! One of the biggest\nsources of free marketing is publicity. If you will learn to write news releases and\nthen send them out to the media outlets, you will be surprised how many times\nthey pick up your stories. Did you know that 50-70% of what’s in most\nnewspapers is generated because someone sent a news release?\nYou can send news releases, too! Think about it-everyday the newspaper in your town has to\nfill scores of pages with local information. The odds are in your favor. If you keep sending out\nnews releases, they will use something from you. Be sure to send them news releases regularly.\nYou don’t need to be a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter to send out a news release. Simply take\nout some letterhead from your ministry and write out the "who, what, where, when, why, and\nhow" of your ministry event. Be sure to include contact information, too. Then send it off to the\neditor of your local newspaper. You will be surprised how often reporters will pick up your\nnews and write or talk about your ministry in the local media.\nA few tips to help you relate with reporters\nReporters are people, too. Pray for them and make friends.\nAlways be polite, even if they get the details of your story wrong. (As someone said,\n"Never start an argument with someone who buys their ink by the barrel.")\nDon’t ask them to contact you when your story runs.\nBe newsworthy. Send them news releases that relate to some current event of local\ninterest\nDon’t tell a reporter anything you wouldn’t want to read in the paper the next\nmorning!\nDon’t forget to add your name and contact information to your news release when you send\nit out.You would be surprised how many news releases forget this important detail. If an editor\nwants to use your story, but can’t find your contact information he/she may not take time to\nlook you up your contact information.\nAction Point!\nContact the local news media channels, both print (newspapers and magazines) and\nelectronic (TV, radio, website) and find out where and to whom you can send your press\nreleases.\n\n
You have a powerful opportunity to send out a little "commercial" with every email\nyou send. It’s called an "email footer." E-mail footers are that signature line at the\nbottom of your email right under your name. Usually, you can set your email\nprogram to add them automatically to all your outgoing messages. You won’t\neven have to think about them. Just set them up one time. When you do, put your\nchurch name and your ministry web address. When people read your email, they can click\nthrough and visit your website and learn more about your ministry. This way of getting the\nword out through common communication channels is called "viral marketing."\nDon’t underestimate the power of the email footer! Some businesses on the internet used\nthem to get the word out about their new products by adding them to subscriber’s emails\nautomatically.Hotmail™ became an internet giant by using the lowly email footer. We are not\nsuggesting your church will explode with growth just because you use them, but why\nwouldn’t you want to take advantage of this powerful free tool?\nYou send emails to hundreds of people each year. Not all of them are to members of your\nchurch.Though many of the people who get y\n
Has your church ever been in the slumps? It happens to even the best churches.\nRoutine gets to us all. Sometimes churches get caught up doing the same old\nthings over and over again and they lose that pizzazz and excitement the church\nonce had.You can renew the excitement if you plan a special event!\nDoing something new, a special emphasis of some kind, can bring back the excitement.You\ncan have an event, an unusual program, or perhaps a sermon series that you can use as a draw\nto invite new people. There are many possibilities: invite a special speaker, or host some\ncitywide event, even a funny contest. It depends on the personality of your church and\nleadership.\nBy having a special event, you give your members an excuse to invite their friends. You may be\nsurprised how much it encourages the church members to start reaching out and begin to\ntalking about their church again. A special event need not be related to a holiday either.We\nhave seen special events pack churches at all times of the year.\nHere’s the key many churches miss. You can’t have something special\n
