NOVEMBER 1997.
 OLD G.T. ROAD WAS ALSO ENTRUSTED TO PMP IN MARCH, 2001
AND THE ORGANIZATION WAS RENAMED AS “NATIONAL
HIGHWAYS & MOTORWAY POLICE”.
 TOTAL ENFORCEMENT AREA = 2460 KM
 HUGE TRAFFIC BURDEN
